The White House did not release an un-manipulated scan of the document they brought back from Hawaii. There is no disagreement about this fact. The supporters claim there was OCR and other enhancement innocently performed on the document. Why manipulate it at all?

Once the thing is manipulated electronically, it is very hard to tell the extent of changes. Manipulation adds suspicion, correctly.

What you say is true. Should Obama display the original B.C. in a glass case outside the White House, say in an enclosure similar to the original constitution? Or should Obama send the original B.C. to the Speaker of the House for him to examine with the aid of a unbiased expert?

Would that suffice?

I just put up a post on my blog showing that the “white copy” that was distributed to the media was not taken directly from the certified copy but from a print-out - which specifically introduces a step to allow manipulation also. True. There is something on the real one that scares the cr@p out of him. But he couldn't manipulate one line because that would have let the cat out of the bag. Instead, he had the entire thing manipulated and manipulated again until now there is no way to tell what is the truth and what he had to hide.
