CLEVELAND -- A spokesman says a liberal congressman who could lose his Ohio district is hearing from people across the country who want him to run in their states.
Republicans in control in Ohio might eliminate the Cleveland seat held by eight-term Democrat Dennis Kucinich during this year's redistricting. Ohio will lose two House districts because of U.S. population shifts.
Kucinich was in Washington state for appearances last week. Spokesman Nathan White tells The Plain Dealer of Cleveland that Washington is among 20 states where people are urging Kucinich to run. Washington will add one new congressional seat.
Kucinich has said he will fight to stay in Congress and promote liberal policies.

I was wondering if it ever happened before.
At least twice...
Matthew Lyon, US House VT and US House KY. (1700’s-1800’s)
Robert Potter Hill, US House IL and US House OK. (1900’s)
Marcia Fudge’s district will not be majority black by much. Surely Fudge will be favored but Kucinich might have a chance.
I’m thinking he wouldn’t have a chance against Renacci. He just barely won in 2010 as it was, and some of those Democrats will be put into Fudge’s district.
I really don’t see another state taking him. Let’s see...where might it even be possible?
Illinois? A really aggressive map could eliminate Dold and
Walsh both. However, there must be some IL state senators and state representatives losing their jobs.
NV-TX? There figure to be new Democrat seats here but they’ll probably go to hispanics.
The only other possibility I can see is Washington State.
