The thing is that Moslems could also be Caucasian looking (Chechens, Albanians, converts etc.) or South-Asian (Pakistanis, Bangladeshis) or South-east Asian (Indonesian/Malaysian) or Chinese looking (Hui) or African.

the Middle-Easterners only account for 20% of Moslems (but yes, the majority of terrorists attacking westerners I'd guess).

While all of that is true, to the average grassroots, shoot-muslims-now-ask-questions-later, happy redneck, looking muslim is going to be a lot more hazardous than not.

I still wouldn’t want to LOOK muslim at this time. There were some deaths of Sikhs right after 9/11 IIRC because people didn’t distinguish.
