GENEVA – The U.N.'s top human rights official says the global body wants details on the death of Osama bin Laden.
U.N. High Commissioner for Human Rights Navi Pillay says the raid on the al-Qaida leader's hideaway in Pakistan "was a complex operation, and it would be helpful if we knew the precise facts surrounding his killing."
Pillay has frequently stressed the importance of respecting international law during counter-terror operations

Allowing the Geneva Convention to even enter the conversation corrupts the thinking and leads to muddled conclusions. The Geneva Convention does not apply in this kind of war, period! Seems like the White House should make sure it has its story straight an unarmed surrendering Bin Laden that got two in the turban might play well with George W. bin Laden was involved in the December 29, 1992 bombing of the Gold Mihor Hotel in Aden. Two innocent people murdered.
bin Laden funded the Luxor massacre of November 17, 1997. 62 innocent people murdered.
February 1998, Osama bin Laden and Ayman al-Zawahiri co-signed a fatwa that declared the killing of North Americans and their allies an “individual duty for every Muslim”.
bin Laden coordinated the August 7, 1998, U.S. Embassy simultaneous truck bomb explosions in Tanzania and Kenya. Many hundreds of innocent people murdered.
In 2004, Osama bin Laden claimed that he had personally directed the nineteen hijackers for the September 11, 2001 attacks on the United States. 2974 innocent people murdered.
That evil mass murderer has been sent where he belongs. What possible interest could the U.N. High Commissioner for Human Rights have in the details of his departure from this life, beyond to congratulate the great Americans who personally delivered America’s message to the Pakistan resident?
