I’ve read that “Obama” is the name “Osama” in Swahili or whatever the language is in Kenya, probably a number of tribal dialects.

That could be true I suppose. I haven’t run into that explanation before though.
I seem to use the names interchangeably though, heh heh heh. Sorry about that...
