Who has read "Hillary's Secret War?"
Amazon ^ | 2004 | Richard Poe

Posted on 05/02/2011 7:47:48 AM PDT by netmilsmom

I'm seeing thread and posts condemning those who are questioning the BC issue and the OBL issue. People who are asking are being called names and belittled for those questions. I will say up front that I am a "Trust but Verify" person. That's why I like Free Republic. It has been a long standing tradition to put everything out, all facts, rumors and questions. The group then sorts them and comes up with a reasonable conclusion. If you doubt that, read the book, "Hillary's Secret War" by FReeper Richard Poe. You will see how it happened back in the 90's. You'll see FReepernames you know, and you'll see Jim Robinson wrote the forward.

Please be kind with corrections of issues to other FReepers. If someone is posting something that you know to be proven false, please correct it with kindness and help us all out. Obvious trolls are always taken care of by the Admins. Help us all out and lets work like the classic FReepers did.

I want the truth, all the truth and nothing but the truth. Sometimes you have to wade through a lot of trash to get that.

>>I recall once I simply posted that I didn’t like Wal Mart and I somehow I got accused of being a troll.<<

I’m so sorry. I’ve had people get downright nasty with me too. I remember coming here a LONG time ago and having someone tell me that I need a flameproof suit. I had no clue what he was talking about!

I DISAGREE.

That was a good $100,000 worth, at least.

Bless you FR Bro.

I think there is a difference between being strong is your corrections and just accusing people of being conspiracy nuts.

In order to sort facts, the facts have to be brought out. Just yelling and making fun of those who asked questions will shut down what FR has been.

Ask Buckhead.

ABSOLUTELY INDEED.

And in such a VERY COMPLEX WORLD,

even educated, experienced, well researched facts

are extremely hard to discern in many many cases.

So . . . get ALL THE INFORMATION AVAILABLE OUT ON THE TABLE—EVEN OBVIOUSLY OFF THE WALL STUFF.

One NEVER KNOWS which tiny puzzle piece will lead to real gold.

Thanks for defending my book (against jla's criticism)!

Now when I meet you, you can autograph my copy. :)

Seriously, people should read it. We are repeating history and some people here don’t even seem to realize there was a past.

Dear jla:

I am sorry that you did not like my book. Of course, you are entitled to your opinion. However, your post went beyond mere opinionating. It contained misleading information, which I must now correct.

Contrary to what you wrote, Hillary's Secret War is not a "composite of articles written about the Clintons." In fact, the book does not even pretend to be "about the Clintons." It is about the "New Underground" -- my name for the New Media pioneers who battled the Clintons, through dissident Web sites such as NewsMax, WorldNetDaily, FrontPageMag, JewishWorldReview, The Drudge Report, FreeRepublic and the now-defunct SierraTimes.

Hillary's Secret War was based on exclusive, in-depth interviews with New Media pioneers such as Joseph Farah, Christopher Ruddy, David Horowitz, Andrew Breitbart, Binyamin Jolkovsky, Missy Kelly, J.J. Johnson, and many more -- including various Freepers who took part in street actions during the disputed election of 2000.

From this research, I was able to demonstrate that dissident Web sites -- especially FreeRepublic and WorldNetDaily -- played a major role in thwarting Democrat efforts to steal the 2000 election. Not only was this fact unknown to the general public when I wrote the book, but mainstream journalists and historians, to this day, remain completely in the dark regarding those events.

Let me add that, when I interviewed and wrote about Andrew Breitbart in Hillary's Secret War, most people did not even know that Breitbart existed.

>>It’s Hell when you ‘think” you’re right. (but you’re not)<<

It’s even worse when you find out that the person you’ve been telling how wrong they are, is right. It works both ways. That’s all I’m saying, we need to let the plethora of knowledgeable FReepers read and discern before we peg everyone as wrong.

They didn’t do that during Clinton and we shouldn’t do it now.

Oops! I left out the most important person in post #31. I left out Jim Robinson! Here's how I should have written it:

"Hillary's Secret War was based on exclusive, in-depth interviews with New Media pioneers such as Joseph Farah, Christopher Ruddy, David Horowitz, Andrew Breitbart, Binyamin Jolkovsky, Missy Kelly, J.J. Johnson... AND JIM ROBINSON."
