I believe George Bush would have remained quiet for a good while. Intelligence gathering needed to be done. Special ops could have done away with a few more of them. By announcing the news so quickly, Obama has hurt their ability to do so.
Don’t guess his motivations. This OBL dead is such garbage I cannot believe it, that people here believe it. Don’t try to guess IMO.

I have a very, very good friend of mine who I went to high school with and who now lives near me in the Los Angeles area. He name is Ret. Col. Pete Blaber of Dela Force....Pete wrote a book called “The Mission, The Men and Me: Lessons From a Former Delta Force Commander” And Pete was in charge of plotting Operation Anaconda and the bombing of Tora Bora and he just missed killing Osama bin Laden years ago. According to other authors who consider him to be the most brilliant mind to ever walk the halls of “The Unit” his missions are credited with killing more Al Queda than anyone else on this planet. I have told him repeatedly that he killed bin Laden at Tora Bora because after that mission we never heard from him again, Pete denied it. I just spoke to him briefly tonight after this news broke, I’ll try to get some more information in the coming weeks.

Obama admits he was briefed on Bin Laden’s whereabouts and orders a stike to take Usama out. The White House has been aware the Bin Laden was dead for a week ... What is confusing is that on 28 April it was announced that CIA director Panetta would replace Gates and Petraeus to head CIA! Something is wrong here. Also, Obama releases his BC!

He made it sound as if he himself ordered the raid and charged ahead of the troops just as the leader that he is.
