Something just doesn't sound right on the timing, Bongo has intelligence on him for 8 months. I can't put my finger on it, but if I had to take a Tin Foil guess.... there is chatter of a big AQ strike in DC. Can you imagine the fall out if AQ strikes and it becomes known Bongo had Osama in the cross-hairs since last summer!

Now if AQ pulls one off Bongo explains that it was in retaliation of Osama’s demise.

I agree that something isn’t right.

I do think the Brits knew about this. Looking back something was off about the wedding. There was a definite undercurrent at that wedding. They postponed their honeymoon right away.

It could have been a warning that Obama was going in for the kill..but that would have required them telling the Queen days in advance.

Then you have these conflictings stories about what happened.

But then again, I don’t trust Obama . He could tell me the sky was blue and I would have a hard time believing him.

Regardless of the timing, once it is learned that Osama has been killed by the US, there will be repercussions. On balance, it may have been better to announce it years later if the secret could be kept.

Obama will get credit politically for it. However, if we are hit again by another 9/11 attack or worse, then any credit for killing Osama will be washed away. Bush kept us safe for 8 years. Obama must do it for at least the next two years or suffer the political consequences.

I am also concerned about the impact on what is now happening in the Middle East. It could affect the direction these new revolutionary movements will take. Ir is going to take awhile to see how things sort themselves out.
