No, since many other LFBC’s have shown up with that same registrar signature.

N&V: “DOCTOR Richard C. Lee, meet MYSTERY U K Le Lee”

So how do you interpret this result? I’m not a handwriting expert but I see virtually no resemblance between these two signatures. Besides the fact that the letter at the begining of U. K. C. Lee looks much more like a “U” than an “R”.

Are there any other comparisons of U.K.C. Lee having signed birth records? Besides the fact that Richard is identified as the President of the BOH in the first and the second is just a lowly registrar??

I have signed many birth certificates. An attending physician would never, ever use a pseudonym to represent his signature. It is in the state of Texas...illegal. And particularly on an official document....You might use an initial in place of your full name (that is acceptible) but never ever play games with these documents. To adulterate a document like that would be a felony.

I have a long form copy of my BC from Hawaii circa 1945. It's a Standard Certificate of Live Birth, detailed information and the raised, embossed seal of the Territory of Hawaii dated 1947. The embossed seal should show up even in a photocopy of the document.

Did you see post #78? The third certificate (from 1962) has that same goofy signature. Maybe that person’s parents had a wild sense of humor. :)

Dr. Richard U. K Lee became the Registrar?
If true why would he go from the rather ornate cursive to the child-like scribble? Look at the L.
