Obama’s playing with you, that’s why. He put it out at the time when it would be most advantageous to him. He had no legal duty to Lakin or anyone else.
If Trump had not pushed him into a corner, he would still be holding on to the birth certificate, if indeed it is the real thing.
That seems like a very strange thing to say. Obama was Lakin's Commander in Chief; and he is the acting President of the United States. As such, he has very specific legal duties; to Lakin and to everyone else; or at least that's the way it used to work. It's not as if anyone forced Obama to take the job.
