Expert: No Doubt Obama's Birth Certificate Is Legit

It didn’t take long for some of President Obama’s doubters to claim the long-awaited birth certificate posted online by the White House on Wednesday had been altered or might be a fake.

But a leading software expert says there’s no doubt about its authenticity, and he dismisses claims of fraud as flat-out wrong.

The doubters have latched onto the idea that Adobe Illustrator — the premier program for computer graphic artists — “reveals” evidence of document manipulation in the Obama birth certificate. They note Illustrator reveals nine separate layers of the document, and claim it’s “proof” the file has been altered.

But that’s not so, says Jean-Claude Tremblay, a leading software trainer and Adobe-certified expert, who has years of experience working with and teaching Adobe Illustrator.

“You should not be so suspicious about this,” Tremblay told FoxNews.com, dismissing the allegations.

He said the layers cited by doubters are evidence of the use of common, off-the-shelf scanning software — not evidence of a forgery. “I have seen a lot of illustrator documents that come from photos and contain those kind of clippings—and it looks exactly like this,” he said.

Tremblay explained that the scanner optical character recognition (OCR) software attempts to translate characters or words in a photograph into text. He said the layers cited by the doubters shows that software at work – and nothing more.

I think he believes it is still quite effective to deploy the always reliable race card, trusting that any opposition whites will immediately cower in submission.

For “conservative” elites in The Republican Party and the media that is sadly still the case.

Any State could require a Certified Copy of the original document in order to get on the ballot.

Any Federal Court could subpoena the original source document under a discovery for a legitimate suit.

Other than that, we'll never know.

So they got the black and white copy, put it over the colored copy with the stuff they wanted on it? Hard to keep up with all of this but has anyone super competent - a software guy - has he/she said the dropping of the 1 and the R is possible? The 1 with the blurring, the shade, the placement and the disappearance looks awfully fishy? If someone has info that "Yeah, that happens all the time" - if they've said that, I apologize, just catching up on all of this. Thanks ahead of time. .

This video shows how it can’t be OCR that broke these images up in one scan. It shows hidden numbers on the side of the green safety paper. It shows that the most of the layers are in monochrome and some in color. And it also shows these weird white dots that are in the document no one is talking about. OCR can’t do this stuff

We now have the immigration file of Barack Hussein Obama, Sr., who arrived in the United States in 1959. It seemed odd in this entire file of 55 pages that there were only two mentions of his numerous children. One was Roy in Baltimore and the other was in a handwritten memo that briefly mentioned Barack OBAMA II who lived with his mother at her parents house.

It has always been understood that Barack Obama was born in Kenya in 1936, at least that is what it says on his tombstone. But if you go through his immigration documents, he shows two different dates of birth. They are not typos or mistakes because there is a very consistent pattern. There are numerous entries on numerous documents. He came to this country with a birthdate of June 18, 1934. He was in Hawaii until 1962 with that exact same birthdate on every single document in that file. His date of birth did not change until mid 1962, when he went to Massachusetts. All of a sudden he was two years younger and born on June 18, 1936, which he continued to use as his date of birth after that.

The new birth certificate released by Barack Hussein Obama II states that he was born on August 4, 1961 at 7:24 P.M. In block 10, it states that his father, Barack Hussein Obama was 25 years old. The problem is, on June 18, 1961 he turned 27 years old. It was not until a year later that he decided to change his date of birth. All records and identification that he had in 1961 showed him as a student alien from Kenya born on June 18, 1934!

Actually you are wrong. If the scan was from a single sheet of paper like the one you see when you open the file, the scanner wouldn't pick up anything you can't see with your eyes. Those numbers can't be seen unless you separate the pieces. Second, you haven't even addressed where those stray numbers come from. Why are they on the edge of the safety paper in the first place? They are partial numbers and or letters. From where did they come or what purpose did they serve? You believe any of regular black letters and numbers weren't picked up by OCR but two hand written signatures where? Your logic defies imagination. Those white specs if on the scanner glass would have just blocked out anything being scanned, not be scanned themselves. Scanners are just flat bed cameras. My best guess is that those white specks are from a round state seal near the top that was erased off the safety paper and an embossed seal at the bottom that was also painted over with photoshop. It is my belief that the safety paper was recycled from the original COLB they released a couple of years ago. If the mono/color problem happened with software as you say it would not have picked up half a signature nor would it have been turned into an image file. Instead it would have turned it into something you can read or edit....in other words a word file. OCR excuse doesn't hold water.

A lot of the discussion of the whole thing has consisted of repeating things that have already been looked at and dealt with already.

Some of it has consisted of posting stuff that pretends to be authoritative by some expert, but when you watch it it's nonsense that has already been debunked, and then they go off on some thing about how Obama was told at age 18 that he was going to be a future US President because there was this secret time travel program by the CIA and DARPA that has allowed them to look into the future and preidentify future US Presidents so that they can groom the for the job.

And no, I'm not kidding.

What I personally know about it is (mostly) contained in this thread. Exception is a few new things I've read and maybe even posted on but not had a chance to add to that thread.

I've been trying to keep up with all the theories and speculations but honestly it's like trying to keep up with a tsunami. Most of it (to mix metaphors in an unfortunate way) doesn't hold water, but there are a few things at least that could merit some further examination.

At this point I personally don't (yet) see a smoking gun in the layers. Someone needs to run a real scanning experiment (more sophisticated than the one run by reegs which was helpful but not definitive in terms of some of the finer details) to see how close one can get to the results seen - bearing in mind also that we are severely limited by not having the original with the same security paper, the same characteristics of ink, and have very little idea precisely what software (package AND version) OR what hardware was used to scan the document.

I'm not an expert in such matters, though probably competent enough when it comes to software and graphics in general. But at this point I don't think I have the resources to do the experiment (or more likely, series of experiments) that needs to be run.

So yes, we do need an expert, and one who is honest enough not to skew or falsify the results just because they don't turn out the way that a great many of us would like for them to.

That is an interesting video. One thing I didn’t understand about it though. He said he created his own B&W document in bitmap form. Then he scanned it. He said the software picked up different color elements and made separate files out of them. How could the software find different color elements in a B&W bitmap? I would think that there wouldn’t even be any difference in the grayscale in a B&W bitmap.

Because Lakin’s attorney/s might very well have wanted to hold the actual paper (if there is one...) in their hands, have it vetted forensically, asked for back up info such as files or ledgers, books etc from the DoH in HI, and any and other relevent documents, any of which would most likely have proven this piece of crap to be a forgery.
