It didn’t take long for some of President Obama’s doubters to claim the long-awaited birth certificate posted online by the White House on Wednesday had been altered or might be a fake.
But a leading software expert says there’s no doubt about its authenticity, and he dismisses claims of fraud as flat-out wrong.
The doubters have latched onto the idea that Adobe Illustrator — the premier program for computer graphic artists — “reveals” evidence of document manipulation in the Obama birth certificate. They note Illustrator reveals nine separate layers of the document, and claim it’s “proof” the file has been altered.
But that’s not so, says Jean-Claude Tremblay, a leading software trainer and Adobe-certified expert, who has years of experience working with and teaching Adobe Illustrator.
“You should not be so suspicious about this,” Tremblay told FoxNews.com, dismissing the allegations.

He said the layers cited by doubters are evidence of the use of common, off-the-shelf scanning software — not evidence of a forgery. “I have seen a lot of illustrator documents that come from photos and contain those kind of clippings—and it looks exactly like this,” he said.
Tremblay explained that the scanner optical character recognition (OCR) software attempts to translate characters or words in a photograph into text. He said the layers cited by the doubters shows that software at work – and nothing more.

This video shows how it can’t be OCR that broke these images up in one scan. It shows hidden numbers on the side of the green safety paper. It shows that the most of the layers are in monochrome and some in color. And it also shows these weird white dots that are in the document no one is talking about. OCR can’t do this stuff

What I find interesting about that registration of birth in Kenya is just how many things magically agree with this new fraud of a document and it was posted a year ago. If it’s a forgery then it’s a better one than Obama produced.

I have seen that happen. Usually when a file is copied from one location to another. For example if the file is copied (not moved) from one directory on the hard drive to another the copied file will have a creation date when it was copied, but a modified date the last time it was changed by an editing program. This by itself does not indicate fraud. But Fraud is what we are looking at.
In any case, Lakin would have gone to jail anyway, even if Obama had shown his BC. He would still have been guilty of missing movement.

I had it on my work PC for a time, until I realized what it did to my system performance. Pure bloat. It is designed to make transfer of information from one app in Creative Suite to another (and other functions). I un-installed it and was happier with what I used in Creative Suite (photoshop and illustrator) I don't have it on my PC.

The text version need not be part of the released document. That image is one of a multitude of images and text, all tied together in a database. Not unusual to separate a document into layers for processing.
Just because you don’t understand something doesn’t mean an evil conspiracy is afoot.

It does seem strange to me that so much time is spent analyzing and re-analyzing this one document down to the gnat’s a$$. Would it not make much more sense to investigate the content of the document or the creation of the “original”? I have little doubt that the photocopy of this original document was made by those in Hawaii and sent to Obama. The real question is whether the information on this document was manipulated in some fashion before it became a Hawaiian offical record.

And this analysis from Daily Pen basically assumes that all the information on this birth record is accurate (although perhaps misleading).
Besides, the whole point of making a forgery is to claim facts that are untrue. If you can find the facts that dispute the forgery, you don’t really have to worry about how the forgery was conducted.

OCRing images is used for searching a great deal, with no intent to edit.
Just consider Google’s rendering of physical books into searchable text by the millions.
The scanning software has options to just convert to a flat image file, or to identify sections and map them into separate layers for additional processing.
It’s your kind of hysterical ignorant self-authoritative rantings about a subject you barely understand which is fast destroying the viability of the “birther” movement. I want viable proof of inelegibility as much as anyone, but also know that legal proof is legal proof, and that vapid ramblings hurt the cause.
