It didn’t take long for some of President Obama’s doubters to claim the long-awaited birth certificate posted online by the White House on Wednesday had been altered or might be a fake.
But a leading software expert says there’s no doubt about its authenticity, and he dismisses claims of fraud as flat-out wrong.
The doubters have latched onto the idea that Adobe Illustrator — the premier program for computer graphic artists — “reveals” evidence of document manipulation in the Obama birth certificate. They note Illustrator reveals nine separate layers of the document, and claim it’s “proof” the file has been altered.
But that’s not so, says Jean-Claude Tremblay, a leading software trainer and Adobe-certified expert, who has years of experience working with and teaching Adobe Illustrator.
“You should not be so suspicious about this,” Tremblay told FoxNews.com, dismissing the allegations.

He said the layers cited by doubters are evidence of the use of common, off-the-shelf scanning software — not evidence of a forgery. “I have seen a lot of illustrator documents that come from photos and contain those kind of clippings—and it looks exactly like this,” he said.
Tremblay explained that the scanner optical character recognition (OCR) software attempts to translate characters or words in a photograph into text. He said the layers cited by the doubters shows that software at work – and nothing more.

I was 11 in 1961 and never lived in Hawaii, so I’m afraid I can’t shed any light on this.
Death certificates are done longhand and sent to the state, where the official typewritten document is created. Once I sign a DC it leaves the hospital and never returns.
I’ll never understand how it happens, but dyslexic typing is an aquired art! LOL!

1) It is an obvious fake and by now, most of us realize that the republican leadership and the just-us department and the SCOTUS are NEVER going to touch this issue... too many people will go to jail and cities will burn. I encourage removal of office for many reasons but it just will never happen. We have to beat him at the ballot box because our side lacks a spine for any sort of fight. Trump would not have an audience if even one candidate on our side had fire in the belly.
2)The fact that his father was not a citizen and his mother was only 17 and not 21 and had not resided withing the US for a period of 5 years, makes him not qualified as a NBC... again... nothing will happen.
oprahbama is even more tarnished today than he was before this forgery release. Let him flail... his mojo is gone baby!

That seems like a very strange thing to say. Obama was Lakin's Commander in Chief; and he is the acting President of the United States. As such, he has very specific legal duties; to Lakin and to everyone else; or at least that's the way it used to work. It's not as if anyone forced Obama to take the job.

I wonder if Jean Claude could point us to a few pdfs that purport to contain the image of a single document, that have been viewable on the internet now for at least a few months that show similar layering.

Fox News was just an example for illustrative purposes. Heck, he could have sent one to Rush Limbaugh registered mail as a gesture of goodwill. Would have been a PR hole-in-one.

Honestly...If you are going to defend this document, it would be better to avoid DOJ and DNC language.
I don’t have any answers to anything ... at all. I would like to throw this in, however, for whatever it may be worth.
Could it be that there was a correction or amendment made by a court’s decree somewhere along the way? Some states order it done by marginal notation on the BC while others, I believe, allow the custodian of records to make alterations to the original.
Just a thought, FWIW.

Which number are you referring to.
One of those numbers is HIGHLY CONTROLLED and could only be entered once you had a completed form at the DOH office where it would be filed. The other number is not ony not highly controlled, it can be RESET at will by the person who has the numbering machine.
I think Okubo may also be talking about a number that doesn't even show up on this particular document.
These were NOT controlled forms when they were blank.
Remember how the administration asked for a SCOTUS review to reinstate FCC restrictions on broadcast profanities this week? So what did Mr. Trump do - all day it’s been about the F-bombs he dropped in Las Vegas (anyone else notice how no one pointed out the cheers of the crowd each time he did?) -
I think Mr. Trump knows Exactly what he’s doing - and my assumption is that he’s being respectful of the storm victims, etc. and biding his time. I’m Certain he’s not finished with this issue -
