(CNN) -- The other night, having a few beers with a conservative friend, I mentioned how hacked off I was that there hadn't been a wholesale denouncement of the likes of Donald Trump and Sarah Palin from conservative politicians and opinion-makers.
To be sure, many, many, many, many have denounced both -- but I think a chorus as simple and clear as a Cee-Lo Green song is deserved. It should be unanimous and unmistakable. (The past 48 hours should make it pretty easy to dump on Trump.) My buddy, though, responded with an (almost) perfect analogy. He said:
It's kind of like having a friend who's engaged to a total b!@$h. Everyone knows she's awful -- everyone except your friend. Do you:
a.) Tell him she's no good. In which case he will almost certainly kill the messenger. Pride will force him to dig in, he'll cuss, you'll cuss, you'll trade "you've changed" insults, and the friendship will be ruined. Or...
b.) Say nothing. In which case he'll maybe marry her, pay off her credit card debt, have a couple of kids, turn his drinking from fun to sad, and emerge seven years later divorced and a shell of his former self.

Unless and until Sarah Palin herself puts “Sarah Palin” and “Donald Trump” together in a sentence, clause or phrase, it is political illiteracy to do so.
But this is CNN, after all.

I don’t think too highly of Trump. I do think quite highly of Palin. But all that is relatively moot.
The main thing is that I now know the name Will Cain. I know to keep an eye out for that name. And also that this Will Cain fellow is a worthless scumbag. Next time he’s on CNN, undoubtedly promoting some GOP hack politician, I’ll immediately discount his views on anything and everything. Frankly, he and his smug ilk can just go rot in hell.
If he's smart he'll ENDORSE PALIN when he makes his "announcement". bttt

Cain is a so-called conservative who writes an article that could have been written by the worst, foaming-at-the-mouth, nutty lib. What does Cain omit? The reason why he dislikes Palin. Nowhere in the article does he list any issue that he disagrees with Palin about. And this guy is an NRO contributor? Reflects very poorly on NRO.

"JP" is a pussy. I've zero tolerance for someone who throws a hissy fit because everyone else doesn't think exactly as he/she does.
If Palin doesn't run, and win, "JP" will probably hang himself in his apartment. Of course before doing so he'll submit an entry to his blog!
