Graphics pros challenge Obama birth certificate
WND ^ | April 28, 2011 | WND

The most common challenge to the authenticity of the long-form birth certificate released this week by President Obama that is circulating on the Internet focuses on the layers of images discovered when opening the document in computer image programs such as Adobe Illustrator.

While there may be other challenges to the document's authenticity that bear further scrutiny, it appears that the "layer argument" can be easily explained.

Graphic artists who addressed the issue on blogs and Web forums point out that the format in which Obama's document was released, Portable Document Format, or PDF, is composed of multiple images.

Tests on other PDF images produce an effect similar to the multiple layers extracted from Obama's document.

Hawaii Department of Health spokeswoman Janet Okubo explained to WND in an email that the certified copy issued to Obama is a photocopy on safety paper "of the original Certificate of Live Birth."

She confirmed the state's previous statement that Department of Health Director Linda Fuddy "personally witnessed the copying of the original Certificate of Live Birth and attested to the authenticity of the two copies."

Okubo added that Alvin Onaka, the state registrar, whose signature is on the Obama document, "certified the copies."

For years, I could not remember the antithetical part of the joke and you fixed it for me.

Thnx!

And it’s still funny.

They are “Data Points” and the document “IS NOT” a copy of the original Long Form Birth Certificate.

I want to see the Birth Certificate he found among his mother’s belongings, the one his mother submitted for his entrance into the school system and the one he used to obtain his passport.

He has all three available to him and his possession.

If they photo-copied something printed on “security paper”, should there be a watermark somewhere on the document?

I’ve been thinking about the “X” again today. I really believe I’m right. It’s that whole “X marks the spot” idea. It’s just my gut feeling, but only someone with a program that can break up the layers and find doctored up areas, the X being the main focus for me, could prove my theory. I wish there was a computer genius out there who would take up the cause of the “X”. I don’t believe they would be disappointed. But, oh well...just wanted to get those thoughts out to the realm....

Do any OS upgrades lately?? I had that problem when I updated to Win7; my old scanner would NOT work.

So I went to Ed Hamrick's website and downloaded his program called "VuScan", a scanner driver software program. Its key feature is supporting old scanners on new operating systems. It's cheap and works really well. I can keep my OLD scanner!!!! I can't say enough about it!

VuScan

you make the point i was trying to make- What were all these “waivers” his lawyers had to sign...

Can we see those?

I didn't need a team of lawyers to sign waivers when I needed my BC.

Obama may just be foreign enough that he NEVER got a BC in his life, and he actually does not know- you just walk into an office and pay $12 or so...

And he also does no know how stupd it sounds to tell the public he needed to sign waivers to get his.

It is like one of those stupid diaper-head terrorists who say an american insulted him with their shoes- when it is THEY who are deeply offended by shoes, and no one in america thinks it is a major insult to show your shoes to them (or something)

I am thinking they needed to give someone a ‘waiver’ from prosecution if they committed this fraud for Obama.

I would also be looking over my shoulder if I was that person- SOMEONE made this ‘abstract’ and we need to find who.

Business as usual.

Obama l,ies, and the media swear to it.

They go out of their way to DISMISS this criticism. Can you imagine if BUSH tried to pass off this document?

Don’t they know they have lowered the bar for any future REPUBLICAN as well?

The keep saying they can show that the software nakes layers, and then show how that happens on a DIFFERENT document.

DO IT WITH THIS DOCUMENT and see if what happens. I understand about the layers in OCR... That is NOT what I am seeing here.

Yea, its a brand new scanner, which apparently has problems with USB ports... So, I think I have a USB converter to an LPT port, I can’t find it either. &^#*&%*!&^@(.

I give up for today. I am tired.

I’m getting many responses, so I’ll try to summarize:

1. Given that the certifying statement originated from a hand stamp, it is very possible to say that ink smudging is the reason for the anomalous “X” even though at least three other “H” figures appear clearly.

2. One poster posted scanner code. I noticed that the certifying statement code became gibberish at the anomalous “X” but various people say this could be embedded code or it could be where the scanner did not recognize the image.
The scanner code is here:

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/2712636/posts?page=131#131

3. Others have observed where this same stamped statement was on the COLB Obama submitted, but the “H” was a clear “H”. Brown bear blew up the statement on the white house birth cert to a huge degree, and clearly the pixels become fatter on the word “the” but at the time I didn’t know anything about coloration, etc. so I’ve been meaning to go back and look at that.

4. Many say they think it is clearly an “X” but cannot explain it otherwise.

That’s the gist of it. Truthfully, I guess I just love the idea of the “X” being the “smoking gun”! You know, X marks the spot in a treasure hunt, when people vote who cannot write, they sign an X, and X always represents an unknown factor. So...it just seems so perfect for a computer graphics artist to choose a simple little letter to: sign his/her handiwork, get Hawaii off the legal hook by making the certifying statement refer to TXE records (which are in fact data records), and create a little path to discovery for anyone interested in looking hard enough.

Anyway, hope this helps. As I have said many times, I am not committed to faked or not, but honestly, at this point, it’s getting harder to say NOT in my mind.

Make sure the USB driver versions line up and are the same at both the printer end, and the computer end, and any USB Hubs (powered type) you might have in the middle. Latest reliable version is still V2.0, I think.....altho, I hear there is a 3.0 on newer machines and many newer external HDs.

On another thread, the waivers were said to be needed because an adoptee is not allowed to see his original birth certificate.

Obama probably had a few off-the-record phone conversations with Registrar Onaka, and the result is this "abstract" of his original birth certificate. Onaka could create a unique document in this case, using any means he chose, so long as the info on it was true. Obama is gambling that the MSM will continue to misdirect around the Natural Born Citizen problem.
