The Washington Times: Birth certificate isn’t Obama’s only secret
The Washington Times ^ | April 28, 2011 | The Washington Times

Barack Hussein Obama II was born on Aug. 4, 1961, in Honolulu, Hawaii. For over two years, the president has resisted pressure to divulge this simple biographical information, which proves he’s a natural-born citizen. The belated White House release of the “long form” birth certificate answers one constitutional issue, but a host of other questions remains about the most mysterious president in modern history.

Mr. Obama’s hostility to openness drives the public’s curiosity about the most basic facts of his life. For example, he has refused to release his college and law-school transcripts, information recent presidential candidates have openly shown the public despite some embarrassment over decades-old bad grades. What is there for this president to hide? Maybe he flunked government classes or got busted for dope. He has openly discussed his past drug use, but is there more to it? Secrecy breeds speculation.

The list of hidden Obama documents includes medical records from his annual physical - which other presidents have made public - and first lady Michelle Obama’s law-firm records. Is she covering up a Hillary Clinton-type Whitewater case? Who knows. Perhaps the biggest secret in the Obama administration: What is the president’s golf handicap? He’s played 65 rounds in two years, so is his swing improving? Or, does he force staff aides in his usual foursome to let him take presidential mulligans?

Does anyone know for a fact that Obama spent money to ‘cover up’ his birth certificate - that’s the only part that intrigued me over the past two years? Or, was that just a made up fact?

If I recall correctly, when my son was born (Pennsylvania), the hospital gave us a “birth certificate” signed by the attending physician that had on it the footprint and the vital statistics. That certificate was a nice keepsake, but it had no official status. His official birth certificate, which we received several weeks later, did not have any of those enhancements. It was strictly “who, what, when, where and how.”

My birth certificate contains none of that data. Does yours? What state were you born in?

Yes, and note that this is from the Washington Times, NOT the Washington Post.

FoxNews today reporting that the recent tornado outbreaks (& flooding & fires) caused by global warming.

Rush Limbaugh pushing his golf buddy Trump as a conservative and defending Trump's crony capitalism and various leftist behaviors.

Glenn Beck running farther and farther off the rails on a daily basis.

I'm starting to have real trouble figuring out who can be trusted and where to get reliable (trustworthy) news.

Neither does mine, it's just a little thing that says I was born in Germany. But to get a passport, I had to produce both of my parents long form birth certificates. Amazing obama of arabia needs less to become President of the United States......troll.

I’m not sure what this “long form birth certificate” is that you’re referring to. The one Obama produced looks basically just like mine. Thats it. There’s no secret “longer” form that includes weight, and a footprint, and whatever else.

You can argue about the authenticity of it all day long, but as far as FORMAT goes, its a birth certificate.

And don’t give me that troll BS. If you think there’s a “long form birth certificate”, then go find a sample and post it. Otherwise, your ranting is making you look silly.

I believe the dollar amount claims were first made by Alan Keyes and then Orly Taitz. Here’s a discussion I think is fair:

If my recall is correct Obama’s mother and Obama’s father could not obtain license to mary in Hawaii because Obama had a Known wife in Kenya and Hawaii did not sanction bigamy.

Wow, a shotgun blast in the first sentence. One or two parents, that is the question.

"In September 2008, Lawrence B. Solum, the John E. Cribbet Professor of Law at the University of Illinois College of Law, published an article in the Michigan Law Review entitled “Originalism and the Natural Born Citizen Clause”, which stated:

“What was the original public meaning of the phrase that establishes the eligibility for the office of President of the United States? There is general agreement on the core of its meaning. Anyone born on American soil whose parents (plural) are citizens of the United States is a natural born citizen.”

Despite the intentional distortions continuously disgorged by the MSM and the willful ignorance displayed by the political elites, there is no ambiguity. Obama is not eligible for the Presidency.

The whole birther movement will now demand a determination by SCOTUS on the intended definition of Natural Born Citizen. Hey Newsweek, we're all NBCers now! Hello SCOTUS, can you hear us now? Hello? Are you there? Anyone?

As fellow FReeper Beckwith put it: "Substitute any non-citizen father for Obama Sr. on the long-form. For instance, try Hitler, Sadam, Soros or Bin Ladin. No way did the framers intend this to even be a possibility! Sorry Barry you're still ineligible."

Onward March to SCOUTS!

Good luck with that but the Chester Arthur precedent and the most recent court rulings such as Kim Wong Ark are totally against you.

Opposing him is all well and good. We need a “Presidential Mulligan” for those two SCOTUS seats.

That may be true, but it still needs to be heard at SCOTUS. We're talking about long term precedent here. As Beckwith said, "What if his dad was Hitler, etc." And c'mon everyone, you know what the founders intent was.

Let's solidify it with a SCOTUS ruling. It may not happen with this current bunch, but for the good of the country, it needs to eventually be determined by SCOTUS.

I don't know, am I missing something here? Doesn't this sound like a logical common-sense thing to do?
