That is an ugly poll for Conservatives, though it is still early.
Out of those, I love Sarah Palin, but have a feeling she won’t run. Besides her, (and I never thought I’d say this) Pawlenty is starting to possibly look like the best choice, on that list anyway.
He is kind of dull and doesn’t have great name recognition, but at least of doesn’t have the baggage and horrible policy records of “The Donald”, “The Willard” and the “The Huckster”.
I believe “Generic Republican Nominee” has polled pretty well againt Obama for 2012. Pawlenty might be a generic as they come.
That said, I hope Sarah runs and the party gets behind her, or someone eles emerges.
Also, I notice Michelle Bachmann is missing from the list. She has many of the same strengths as Palin, but has been similarly marginalized by the left-wing media and Republican establishment. Still, I’d love to see either her or Sarah win the nomination.
She's polled in a separate list that's not included in the "free" release. You have to be a Rasmussen subscriber to see how she, and several others fair.
I believe Sarah is staying safely under the FEC radar until the right moment. There are plenty of signals in the Palin Underground that the machine is rolling ... be patient.
