Kate looked so demure in a traditional floor-length, ivory and white satin gazar gown w/ long sleeves, and full skirt with train.
The dress had a redingote effect---with an underskirt appliqued with lace.
The bodice was of ivory satin, reminiscent of Victorian traditions of corsetry -- a hallmark that Alexander McQueen's Creative Director Sarah Burton loves.
The dress used hand-cut English lace w/ French Chantilly lace on bodice and skirt.
Kate wore soft veiling edged with lace and a borrowed Cartier tiara that once belonged to the late Queen Mother who gave it to Queen Elizabeth on her 18th birthday.
Hopefully this ends the strapless wedding gown fad.

In my opinion, strapless wedding gowns should be banned. That goes for the bridesmaids, too.

Hopefully this ends the strapless wedding gown fad. I doubt it. Royal wedding dresses tend to be more modest designs. I don't understand why so many brides want strapless gowns.
