I’m not sure what the context is, but I did see him slap her first. She reacted to the slap. No excusing striking a cop, but he did perform the first assault.
If you review the clip, you will see she was grabbing the officer in an attempt to interfere physically with some sort of arrest of a guy in the booth. She grabbed him, first.
That’s because she wouldn’t release her grip with her left hand on the girl in the same booth with whom she was having a disagreement.
she was tugging and pushing on his shoulder first. It was far from an unprovoked slap from the officer.
“No excusing striking a cop, but he did perform the first assault.”
Pure BS. He was off duty and shouldn’t be considered a COP. He He should be considered at most a hired gun for the IHOP. We’ve had them here covering for drug deals and everything else and short circuiting legit calls by sending a patrol car away.
I noticed that fact myself. He hit her first. I thought I saw another cop in the frame who - it seems to me - should have restrained the woman as soon as she began to interfere with the arrest.???? Full disclosure requires that I tell you that I am no fan of law enforcement.
