This happened at an I-HOP, a police officer punching a woman at an I-HOP during an arrest.

No matter how justified it was, the pictures of her punched face will be his undoing. The man always wins the battle but loses the war.
Unfortunately the officer will probably be forced to cower before the reigning PC thugs. He’ll get a stern reprimand at best, and termination at worse, and then be charged criminally and civilly for doing his job. Escalated force was clearly justified here.

Pure BS. He was off duty and shouldn’t be considered a COP. He He should be considered at most a hired gun for the IHOP. We’ve had them here covering for drug deals and everything else and short circuiting legit calls by sending a patrol car away.

Anyway, I feel bad for the woman but she was wrong. Unless there's way more to the story.
It would be interesting to know what happened that led the officer to try and subdue/arrest someone sitting in a booth. That might help explain why that woman made such a poor decision to get in on the action. Was it a simple failure to respect the LEO’s authoriti that started the whole thing?

Well, we (older guys) were brought up to believe in God, law and order, and manners. Then humanism invaded the schools, media and civilization. Suddenly we're brainwashed into believing the "human" is supreme. There are no more absolutes. Only what "you" think is right.

I'm not sure where you got your brain, but I'd ask for a refund. Cops are COPS 24/7, wherever they are, in or out of uniform. As a former police officer, I can tell you this as a certainty.

Too close to deploy taser, or baton, and bad idea to deploy mace in an crowded restaurant that is already agitated. Good way to get somebody crushed stampeding for the door.
Folks, police are trained constantly to immediately react violently to being touched, especially if they are arresting someone.
Yeah, these liberals place such an overriding value on “expressing yourself” and “being yourself” above all other societal responsibilities. This skank was just “expressing” herself, and so she’ll get a pass.
What’s worse, getting punched in the face AT IHOP, or getting punched in the stomach BY IHOP?
You never try to interfere with a lawful arrest. At the very least, the officer has to have a continual concern that somebody may go for his gun.
If you think the officer is being unlawful, be an eyewitness.
