Why does Dan Rather and a fax machine in TX come to mind?
Check the font.
Check the age of the paper stock.
Check the ink.
Not that I don’t trust them, of course.
Hey, that was the first thing I wanted to post. Fax from the KINKOS in Abilene?
Those other BC's would show the same amount of ribbon detritus in the same letters.
The only paper stock here is the one used for printing two days ago. The black, inky parts are a gray-scale scan from some other original print overlaid onto the green patterned background. (Don't be confused that the curvature of the "black info" (haha) doesn't follow the uncurved nature of the green, patterned paper.
The ink is that of a (most likely) laser printer of today's vintage. Not much to be learned there.
The raised capital letters when switching back to lower-case letters is a sync issue with the typist's use of the Shift button on the typewriter.
I find the disappearing M of P.M. curious. It's as if the paper was fed in a second time to get something that might have been missing.
The half-line spacing to get to the X boxes is fodder for investigation. I'd like to compare with other BCs of nearby date.
