PARIS — France's foreign ministry says leading European nations have summoned Syrian ambassadors across the continent to condemn recent violence in the Middle Eastern country.

The ministry summoned ambassador Lamia Chakkour to express France's "firm condemnation of the escalation of the repression by Syrian authorities against the population."

Maybe the EU should meet them at a meeting of the UN Civil Rights Commission of which Syria is now a member? Maybe they could present them with a letter of “concern” or something effective like that?

Assad is too busy slaughtering his people to take note that there are some wishy-washy Europeans (and Barckian Americans) that are a wee bit upset that he's behaving like a minority Alawite in a Sunni and Shiite society.
Didn't Sec. of State Clinton say he was a “reformer” a while back?
