A transgender woman was beaten by two women in a Maryland McDonalds after using the restaurant's women's bathroom. Chrissy Polis said that no employees intervened when the women began pulling her by the hair, throwing her to the floor, and kicking her repeatedly. The incident was recorded on tape, and police have arrested the young women. Transgender activists have scheduled a rally tonight outside of the McDonalds where the incident occurred to show support for the victim.
"This is precisely the kind of hatred and bigotry that transgender women and men deal with on a daily basis," said Caroline Temmerand of the GLBT Community Center of Central Maryland.
A 2011 national report on transgender Americans found that 53% of respondents "reported being verbally harassed or disrespected in a place of public accommodation," with 3% of respondents reporting physical assault in a retail store and 2% reporting assault in a hotel or restaurant.
Earlier this month, the Maryland state Senate killed a bill, called the Gender Identity Anti-Discrimination Act, which would have outlawed discrimination against trans people in housing, employment, and public accommodation.
There are currently 11 states with hate crime laws which protect people victimized on the basis of gender identity or expression. In 2009, President Obama signed the Matthew Shepard Hate Crimes Prevention Act in the FY2010 Defense Authorization Bill, which was the first federal law to recognize and provide civil rights protections for transgender people.
Transgender? As in “Excuse me, while I whip this out”? Then I absolve those bitches of any crime.
That’s my take on things. It was because they had a perceived slight that it was looking at their man. I don’t think they knew it was a converted man. They were looking for some ghetto style fun,,,, again.
How can Obama unite the country when he can’t even unite the core base of Democratic voters, ghetto blacks and Trannies.
Difference? I think this question reflects a category mistake.
If you’re a man, and some chick beats you down like that, you should have to cut off your stuff and turn it into the man authorities.
He is the great divider imo.
“There is no such thing as a transgender woman. This person is a mutilated man with serious mental problems”
I’d expect better on the FR.
Notice how much of this escaped the MSM until it was no longer just an evil white girl who was beaten by some savages while other savages just looked on.
Please point out where the FReeper in question condoned the beating of the mutilated man with mental problems.
For me, this has nothing to do with skin shades.
If man dressed as a woman comes skipping into the ladies room, I would be tempted to do the same thing.
A man can dress as a female monkey, but his chromosomes still prove he is a male.
The same goes with pervert women.
And yes, I know, the oldest girl already has been in trouble with the law, but I dont know what that has to do with this pervert passing himself off as a female. What did he expect, kisses?
On another note:
For males changing their appearance, and being accepted by the CP crowd as females, is going to endanger the Olympics in the future. Wasnt there this type of problem about this sometime recently?
I wonder if the trannie was pre op or post op. That would make an interesting case. If he was “technically” a woman wouldn’t the hate crime bit not apply?
P.S.
Now that I am thinking about it a little more, what happens when these sickos dressed as women or men go through the airport and are groped by the inspectors?
Trans-gender or whatever issues are irrelevant. This is a simple case of assault. Assault is illegal. The assailants were already committing an illegal act.
Laws exist as a deterrent. The question to me is, would the assailants have been more deterred if a law against assaulting this particular group was on the books? More so than for assault in general? I believe no.
Thus no new law is warranted. I hope the assailants are prosecuted, as I hope anyone who breaks the law is. Anything else just muddies the water.
Res ipsa loquitor.

You have no understanding of us women. No male pops into the sacred sanction of a ladies room. It is forbidden territory for males. If done, expect the worse and hope he gets away with his life.
Oh, lord, it happened in the ladies room? I retract my logical comments :)
Always did wonder what is in those Ladies’ rooms, can’t have anyone messing up the powder and the fluffy cushions.
If the smiley isn’t enough, I’m being humorous...

SchoutLaw,
I am also laughing. I haven’t stopped laughing for a couple of days.
LOL!!!
Imagine: This is one hard case because:
1. The girls are black.
2. They beat up on a white male cross dresser.
It would have been an easy case had the girls been white and the cross dresser been black. It would then have all come down as a simple racist crime. But now it’s a hate crime whatever that is.
Apparently, from what I read and dont know if it is true, the white he/she also tried to hit on the oldest girls boyfriend. That must have been too funny. I would have wished them both well and left for home.
If the victim has been “Chrissy’s” normal, unmutilated brother, this would have quickly disappeared from view. Move along, nothing to see here.
I see assault as assault. Its pretty cut and dried. You get in my space, try to hit me or grapple with me. Assault.
I’m not sure where white, black, trans, ghosts, aliens or anything comes into it in the legal system. Victim has a case for prosecuting assailants for assault.
We have laws about this. Done deal. I don’t care if the victim is trans-gendered, hispanic, black, white, dressed in a clown suit, or hopping on a pogo stick. Laws are neutral. This is why they are laws. They are not referendums about what is popular. The law is I can’t beat you up. Period.
Now if you are saying there is selective prosecution, I’d understand, but need more evidence.
Actually, I saw your point from the beginning. It does not mean I like it, but you are correct.
This subject has been a sort of a hot topic in a couple of my classes, so in my own search for information, I would like to ask you if this person (picture of Chrissy Polis below) came into the MEN'S (assuming you are a man) room, what would your reaction be? (And if you are a woman, what would your reaction be?).
Thank you.
