The Palestinian Authority said that it would reject any peace initiative that requires Palestinians to relinquish the right of return.
Nabil Sha’ath, member of the PA negotiating team, said that the right of return was a basic right, which the Palestinians couldn’t give up.
“We will reject any American peace plan that calls on us to give up one of our basic rights – the right of return for refugees,” Sha’ath, a former PA foreign minister who played a major role in the signing of the Oslo Accords, said.
Sha’ath noted that the Oslo Accords that were signed between Israel and the PLO cal for holding discussions on major issues like Jerusalem, refugees, borders and security.
“How can Washington plan for such a solution?” he asked, referring to the report about US President Barack Obama’s new peace initiative. “There are no contacts between Washington and the PA on this issue.”

Also notice how for the Palestinians negotiations are a cynical charade.
Israel can never allow the right of return; hence all peace negotiations are a complete sham.
I disagree. I think the Palestinians should absolutely have the right to return to their homeland in Jordan.

This is not about peace. It is not about land. It is about Islam and its intolerance of the beliefs of others- especially the Jews. Their own religious doctrines say everything that everyone, of every faith, needs to understand:

It is time Israel packs these “people” up, and ships them out of the Land of Israel -back to the countries they came from- Egypt, Syria, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Lebanon.....and have them take their vulgar, gold domed Beit HaSoton with them on the way out.
There should be no peace negotiations until the ‘Palestinians’ and all Muslims in the Middle East recognize Israel’s right to exist.
Anything else is just the Muslims trying to gain some advantage until they’re ready to attempt another war to “drive the Jews into the sea”.
The PA should just say what they mean... “We’ll sign no peace treaty that allows Israel to continue to exist and does not allow us to kill the six million Jews that live there...”

Israel has 7.3 M Jews. Hamas will be happy as long as they can bring in a total of 7.4 M terrorist sympathizers to vote all citizenship rights away from the Jews. No thank you. I’m willing to disappoint Hamas.

It'll work to point out the absurdity of any form of peace negotiation with people whose organizational charter calls for the destruction of Israel. And having official recognition of Israel as a pre-condition would constantly point out that the US and Europe have no rational basis for trying to pressure Israel to negotiate.
It's not just about the nature of the Muslims, but about the role played by the US and Europe who at times pressure Israel while requiring nothing of the Muslims. Requiring recognition of Israel changes that entire dynamic and keeps the absurdity of the Muslim's demands in the forefront for any rational person or nation to see. Take some pressure off Israel and put it on the Muslims in all this pre-negotiation maneuvering.
