Could Donald Trump be following Karl Rove's advice and dropping his public birtherism once and for all? In an op-ed published in USA Today on Thursday morning, Trump writes that he's ready to stop all the birther chatter.
"I have spoken my piece on this issue," Trump wrote, reminding readers that "many people have the same doubts as I have."
Trump says he's ready to shift the conversation about his maybe-candidacy to something more substantive.
"My concern lies with people like the single mom who recently wrote to me that she now works a third job to pay for the gas to get to the other two," Trump writes.

Anything that increases interest into Obama’s hidden, sordid past is NOT a win for Obama. Obama won the election because of three things, nobody knew anything about him, he can read a teleprompter very well, and he is “black”. As soon as people start learning more about the man, the less likely they will repeat a very bad mistake...

Why? Trump hasn’t changed his opinion on the birth certificate/eligibility issue at all.

In general election, that is true. We're not in the general election stage.
Yes, conservatives DO WANT TO THE TRUTH about Obama, what he is hiding and why he is hiding it. Trump tapped into that sentiment and that is the reason he is risen in the polls among Republicans.
All this hand-wringing about the birther issue is utter nonsense. It will have no impact on the general election unless some scandal is unearthed. If not, no one is going to care about the issue in the general election because the general election will be about Obama's record.
Trump does not have to say anything anymore....he has pretty much exposed the GOP as in the tank for Obama

They’ve been using the same strategery with Michelle Bachmann. The agenda is pretty obvious.
I suspect that they’re working in concert. Trump’s “investigators” are in fact Corsi and his people. It makes lots of sense for both of them.

There has to be something there..otherwise we wouldn’t have all the pre-publication hype...So Trump raises the issue..heightens awareness..gets everyone, especially the MSM talking about it...the book comes out..it’ll be a HUGE hit.. the facts and data and documentation will speak for themselves.

You can bet the Liberal RINOs were upset when Corsi uncovered Bush’s North American Union nonsense a few years ago (which Obama is continuing). Corsi was also the one who exposed John McCain receiving money from George Soros
Corsi has more credibility than any of the other investigative authors.
Just wonder if GOP Media, who is obviosuly in the tank for Obama, will give Corsi interview time. Because of the Birther issue...a number of Liberal GOP outlets will not have Corsi on.
In fact, I will keep track of those shows that have Corsi on..and those that do not. You can be sure, those that do not, are not real conservatives
True, they tried the same on Bachmann. She just did not handle it well.
Bachmann needs to tell the Liberal GOP establishment to bizz off...and say what she thinks. She has a much better chance if she goes with what she believes.
Of all the potential GOP candidates, Michelle Bachmann has the strongest conservative credentials. However, if she backs off on the Birther issue....I cannot support her.
I remember Corsi appearing on Hannity’s radio show months before the 08 election. He had just “escaped” a Kenyan jail cell where he “barely” survived and promised to blow the lid off this issue in days.
3 years later we are still waiting for him to keep his word. Any credibility garnered as a result of “swift boating” Kerry has been squandered.
If Trump is putting his eggs in Corsi’s basket, he is much dumber than I expected and this issue is dead.
Meanwhile, the damage has been done. Trump has convinced America that the most important issue for GOP voters is Obama’s birth certificate. A win for Obama.
A win only if you, and other GOP Liberals, continue to cover for Obama on the issue. Not asking for him to release the Long Form BC is pretty much working for the Obama campaign

I disagree. The MSM will have Corsi on...and will attempt to discredit him..Unlike the Kerry/Swiftboat issue, which to many happened decades ago..the BC issue is current. The BIG image from that was when they showed the old clip of O’Neill debating Kerry on the Dick Cavitt show. Today, we have Trump on every MSM outlet 20 times a day, talkig about it..it’s not a comparable situation.
