Michele Bachmann: Obama’s certification of live birth is good enough for me
Hot Air ^ | April 20, 2011 | ALLAHPUNDIT

Skip ahead to 2:55 for the key bit. I think I know what’s going on here, but it’s better that you watch and form your own judgment. The key exchange:

Stephanopoulos: Well I have the president’s certificate right here. It’s certified, it’s got a certification number. It’s got the registrar of the state signed. It’s got a seal on it. And it says ‘this copy serves as prima facie evidence of the fact of birth in any court proceeding.’

Bachmann: Well, then that should settle it.

Stephanopoulos: So it’s over?

Bachmann: That’s what should settle it. I take the president at his word and I think– again I would have no problem and apparently the president wouldn’t either. Introduce that, we’re done. Move on.

Stephanopoulos: Well this has been introduced. So this story is over?

Bachmann: Well as long as someone introduces it I guess it’s over.

I think you are wrong and that you know it.

I take you at your word too, even when you tell lies ~ 'cause that's as far as it's going to go ~ whatever it is.

Now how can you interpret what MB said as supporting Obama?

It just simply doesn't do that.

But Stephenopolous is in trouble with the next time he asks MB anything about birth certificates ~ her answer is "you heard me the first time, not get on with the interview or let me get out of here to more important things".

The other candidates haven't done that yet.

“So you’re saying that if Obama releases his BC tomorrow and it proves that he was born in the US to parents that qualify him as NBC, despite the fact this term was never defined in the COnstitution, that you are going to sit back and say, “Okay, Obama is not a BS artist or a total fraud”. No need to answer the question, I already know the answer.”

Wrong. I’d say about damn time, He’s legitimately the President now what about the rest of it/records?

You show me a definition of conservatism that requires a conservative to ignore defending the constitution and it’s contents. We must have 2 very different views on what ‘conservatism’ really means.

We need more pitbulls in the interview room!

And I should have added that if you are not DEBATE prepared and prepared to “duke it out”, then don’t show up in a hostile environment. Make nice is history!

Wow, that's a strong argument. I'm impressed.

I love listening to all the brave souls in here castagating Michelle Bachmann for this Birth Certificate issue. Tell you what, this lady has caught more arrows from the enemy, then any of the archair warriors in this room ever will.

I’ll wager some of you folks that are critical of what Michelle said, seem to not have any problem “The Donald” giving large sums of money to the likes of Reid, Schumer and other leftists, saying we need to compromise with the Democrats, and his warning that Ryans plan might be too aggressive. What a bunch of F-ing hypocrits!

That was a embarrassing, unforgivable performance by Michelle Bachmann. She looked like she was being interviewed by the Big Bad Wolf, and all Stephanoplous had to do was exhale slightly, and her house of straw blew apart, leaving her to beg the Wolf for mercy.

I never want to hear another word about that woman.

I can remember a time when people were willing to go to the wall over important issues - issues of right and wrong - and not sit and strategize their way into immobility.

Yes, and that memory is one of the things that fuels this slow motion revolution we call the Tea Party. Most patriotic Americans know that we should FIGHT for what's right, and feel in their bones that it's WRONG to just accept this alien in the White House as our legitimate president.

The Framers knew what they were doing when they formulated the requirements for holding the office of president. Their wisdom has proven to be timeless. A person with divided loyalties should never be allowed access to the most powerful position in our government.

Obama is proof positive that the Framers were correct, and that they meant for our presidents to be born of this country, to US citizen parents.

Now if someone would ask her if she thinks the imprisonment of Terrence Lakin is right and proper...

About a third of FReepers don't get it either. not just the morons in DC like Bachmann.

There has been an influx of new FR posters that either came here from DU or are the ignorant unwashed squishy center/undecideds.

ELIGIBILITY ABOVE ALL ELSE

How can anyone negotiate the issues of state when the president in a mystery?

We don't even know what his legal name is.

Would you be a legal winner of the Indy 500 if you did not qualify for the race itself?

What is so freaking hard to understand about this?

“Obama is proof positive that the Framers were correct, and that they meant for our presidents to be born of this country, to US citizen parents.”

Absolutely. Yet so many here and elsewhere seem to think that what the Framers said means nothing. Or at best, they are selective about what to listen to them on and what to ignore.

Still haven’t heard a rebuttal for that from the anti-birther types.

B.S.!

Sorry Norm, but you can’t have it both ways.

If you’re going to excuse “The Donald” for supporting Harry Reid, Chuck Schumer, Anthony Weiner, and Rham Emanuel with generous fiancial contributions; if you’re going to excuse “The Donald” for saying that the GOP need to compromise with Democrats (you know...bi-partisanship); if you’re going to excuse his warnings that Paul Ryan’s economic proposal shouldn’t be so aggressive...then you should also give Rep. Bachmann the same courtesy.

So tell us why so many are excusing the Donald, but not Michelle...hmmm?

Don’t dare say this is two different issues. That’s a cop out and you know it!

She quite effectively took the issue away from Stuffin'envelopes and he can never ask it again without looking like the idiot he really is.

Did you know he made good grades in school and now we can clearly see that he had to be great at cheating.

Darn. I hate it when yet another Leftwingtard "newsie" is shown to have feet of clay.

I doubt you can even understand the advantage MB got with that non non-answer answer.

We've got lebenteengazillion voters out there imagining they heard The Donald say something.

On the other hand we have a handful of evidence analysts with a focus on forensic grammar noticing that The Donald never said anything.

MB just did the same thing.

The people love it. The politicians that can match "THE ONE" nonsense statement to nonsense statement will win!

Dribble, dribble.

No BS about it. Cop out my arse. You tell me what Trump’s donations have to do with Bachman. What do Basset hounds have to do with hang gliders. Why is a raven like a writing desk?

Why tie Bachmann’s flub into anything but Bachmann’s flub?

PS, I dare.
