Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer vetoed a bill Monday that would have required presidential candidates to provide their birth certificates to appear on the ballot, and another that would have allowed guns to be carried on school grounds.

A phone call from John McCain, asking her if she wants a political future beyond the governorship. Look for her to take over for this “Son of Cain” sometime in the near future.......HOW MANY YEARS LEFT IN HIS TERM?
I don’t care who lied about where they got the notice. The fact is that it appeared in that paper soon after Obama was born.
Why is it so hard for your brain to reason with logic?
If it was in the paper in 1961 (and thus in the microfilms of the paper all along) then why did anybody have to lie about getting the image of the announcements from the microfilm at the Hawaii State Library? Why didn’t they just go to the HSL and really get a copy of it?
And where did they REALLY get the copy from?
Tell us your theory, O wise one.
“Did any of you bother to read why she vetoed the bill? Looking at the responses Im guessing no you didnt.”
You mean the interview where Brewer said the birther issue was a distraction?
“The SCOTUS hasnt taken up this situation, correct? Therefore, as far as the law of the land goes, he not only was eligible to be President he remains eligible.”
Well obviously, if a legal issue that is current law is not ruled on...it is still law.
But, that doesn’t mean that if it were ruled upon, it would be validated as legal. Cases can be rejected for ruling for various reason. SCJustices generally avoid rulings that the throw the country into Constitutional crises.....also standing etc.
“In addition, I never imagined being presented with a bill that could require candidates for President (sic) of the greatest and most powerful nation on earth to submit their early baptismal or circumcision certificates among other records to the Arizona Secretary of State. This is a bridge too far, Brewer wrote.”
But she is ok with that info being required to play lttle league baseball? This is a bizarre and irrational explanation. The tone also indicates these officials feel they are above having to produce such documentation.
I rescind what I said. I didn’t read the article before posting (bad, bad, bad!!!). She has reasons for not signing it. And today she was not invited to the WH “summit” on immigration. Nor were any of the border state governors. Obama and crew are setting them up for a showdown between states and the Fed.
The reason is fear. Was she born in the FDR administration? She has much fear, fear of Obama in particular.
Who are the easiest fooled “conservatives”, thos in AZ or those in SC?
Correct. Which defacto means this is complete nonsense. It’s so thin it’s crazy. If the Rats were saying this about our guy we would call them complete idiots.
The SCOTUS is not going to take this up, it’s a non issue and the more and more we bring it up, the more and more we insure that Obama will win 4 more years
ummm actually, it is an issue...and everybody is talking about it, including you.
Sorry, if the Republicans lose to Obama a second time, it will be because they nominate RINO Romney, just like they nominated RINO McCain.
The GOP is incompetent. They are already preparing for defeat by pointing to a scapegoat.
I think the jury is still out with Nikki. SC is a very red state. I moved from NJ to SC in September last year. Couldn’t afford to live there on a fixed income. Also Jersey is a very Blue state. It remains to be seen what Christy may accomplish there. But I couldn’t wait to move because of the drain on my retirement income (including Social Security). I’m saving almost $6K per yr in SC on taxes alone. Over 10 yrs that’s $60K cash in my pocket and not in the government trough.
It’s odd, given our Civil War history, that I had to come south to feel at home politically.
Sounds like you need to actually go to HI and do your expert investigating.
Read this. Course you are not prone to believe anything that does not fit into your preconceived notions.
