Cruz knows power is supposed to be stripped from the fed and sent back to the states. Cruz should have very little government left to run and very few government employees left to hire after he’s done implementing the policies conservatives have been dreaming for.

Please put this in a time capsule for review in 2018 if Cruz wins. I just don’t think he will deliver—even if he really wants to, he is now beholding to the GOPe and their infrastructure. They will not allow any reduction in power.

Cruz isn’t “beholden” to anyone just because of a few halfhearted endorsements. Is Trump beholden to Christie and Giuliani now?

Trump has been begging for the GOP party apparatus to fund him in the general election, so to whatever extent that will make someone “beholden,” it applies to Trump as well as any other nominee.

Passing a conservative agenda through Congress will always face some roadblocks. At least we know Cruz will fight as hard as possible to get that done. Bush couldn’t pass social security private accounts, unfortunately. Expecting a President to succeed at 100% of the agenda is difficult, but it will certainly be important to evaluate how successful he was after 4 years.
