Media hesitate on Trump's authorship charge
WND ^ | April 17, 2011 | Jack Cashill

Posted on 04/17/2011 5:13:11 PM PDT by RobinMasters

On "The Sean Hannity Show" Friday night and at a Florida tea-party rally Saturday, Donald Trump elaborated on the charge that he has been making the past two weeks, namely that Bill Ayers helped write Barack Obama's acclaimed 1995 memoir, "Dreams From My Father."

Yet despite what Obama-friendly biographer David Remnick had previously called the "diabolical potency" of the charge, the mainstream media have resolutely failed to investigate its accuracy.

Trump all but dares them. At both stops, he emphasized the point that I make in "Deconstructing Obama": As Trump put it to Hannity, "Without that book, [Obama] is not president."

"Dreams" was essential to Obama's ascendancy as "Profiles in Courage" was to John F. Kennedy's. It served as the foundation of the genius myth on which Obama's campaign was based.

"[Obama's] whole aura was caused by the genius of the first book," Trump said accurately on Saturday, "which was written by Bill Ayers."

Trump also told Hannity that "the guy who wrote the first book didn't write the second book ['Audacity of Hope']."

This is a point that Ayers had himself implied a few weeks back at Montclair State University when he praised "Dreams" – and claimed credit for writing it, albeit with a wink – but dismissed "Audacity" as a "political hack book."

Has anyone else written two autobiographies before the age of 45? These fictional accounts were obviously used to give him an acceptable background...in spite of having Communist parents and grandparents...so he could run for office.

There is plenty of software out there that can tell you if a certain piece of writing was created by William Shakespeare, O. Henry, or Stephen King.

I don't think anyone has the guts to run it against Obama's collection of writing vs William Ayres'.

I can think of someone who wrote one at age 42 the Texas outlaw, John Wesley Hardin, but he didn't get to finish it as he was shot dead in a saloon in El Paso in 1895.

Well, I don’t suppose this qualifies Obama as a plagiarist - but it does label him as a phony and a fraud. Is it any wonder why he picked Joe Biden for his running mate? He did not want anyone who was smarter than he himself was - and with Biden on the ticket, Obama seemed to look very bright. Which, by-the-way we all know was not true.

I’m pretty sure that Cashill did run it and concluded that Ayers wrote the book. I could be wrong, but I think not.

“I don’t think anyone has the guts to run it against Obama’s collection of writing vs William Ayres’”

Obama doesn’t have a collection of writing - at least not enough to make any kind of pattern analysis valid. Until they either release more of what’s hidden or teach his teleprompter to do prose that situation is unlikely to change.

But what they could (if they haven’t already) is do a computer analysis of his first book (Ayers?) and his second book (somebody named Favreau, or such, I believe?), and see if they’re significantly different (which of course they are, even to the casual reader).

Which would suggest that Obama was deceptive on the authorship of at least one (and probably both) of the books.

Perhaps your doubts will increase if you bother to read Ayers blog. The man can’t write to save his life.

Did you see cashills analysis regarding the sentence structure, use of maritime references, words per sentence, etc?

Yes. read the review fully. There is no possibility that O wrote the first book. He simply does not have the life experience to use the images and analogies therein.

Great, great book. And no one seems to care that O—out of thin air—spun the whole-cloth ‘Dreams.’

And college professors use that software all the time to see if there’s plagiarism going on. No one would know that better than Ayers.

Ayers was a merchant mariner and only he would have known all those terms. How on earth would bama know terms only seamen would know?

Additionally ayers work has typically 23 words per sentence. Guess what - so does Dreams. Coincidence? Yeah right!
