Palin took the fight to the Democrats. The media told us she was a joke; not a serious candidate.
Trump took fight to the Democrats. The media told us he was a joke; not a serious candidate.

Mitt Romney will not take the fight to the Democrats. The media considers him the only really serious GOP candidate.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

I have no intention of voting for Trump. But the Trump-bashing is just doing the work of the NYT.

Little Doug here needs to pull up his panties and listen to Sarah's speech in Madistan yesterday. Trump hits some great notes... Sarah sings the entire opera and brings down the house. GAME ON!

I applaud them both. Sarah fights like a girl, and Donald fights like an arrogant billionaire. Works for me.

Giles has his head up his ass on this one, not that that is all that unusual. He obviously had not listened (and I mean REALLY listened) to what Sarah had to say in Madison yesterday. She knows how to rally and inspire people and she showed more leadership in one 15 minute speech than the Deceiver in Chief has in 2½ years.

A mere three years ago, in 2008, Trump was against us. He simply didn't share our philosophy. This should deeply concern anybody considering supporting him. What bothers me personally about the man is that he has "everything", and yet wants the Office of The President. Why is this? Could it be his desire to "serve"? If so, where is his previous record of "serving"? His arrogance and pandering are very bad signs of other problems which would certainly surface after he was in office and had the reigns.

Maybe what our country really NEEDS is someone who is not afraid to pull hair, scratch, bite and knee in the groin to get our country back on the rails.

Here’s what I’ve noticed about Trump that worries me... he’ll say anything he thinks his audience wants to hear. The problem with that is, we don’t know who he is. Do we like him because he’ll say Obumpka will go down as the worst president in history when talking to Rush, then scratch our heads when, in front of a black audience he says Bush was evil, ... c’mon, “just who the hell is this guy?”

One thing is for sure Trump can dish it back and the DNC media can’t take it or the Republican establishment. Time will tell if Trump is serious. He gets hit and gives it back at them twice as hard. That’s being a man.

An interesting contrast, huh?

Sarah is from fly-over country. She talks funny. Didn't go to a fancy school. Her husband is a fisherman, and they both engage in "low-class" activity like hunting for food.

Donald Trump lives in NYC. He's got a great education -- as do his kids. He's a billionaire, and he attends very swanky parties. He not only golfs, he owns golf courses.

Sarah Palin knows the life of working people. Trump knows the life of entrepreneurs.
And they both agree that Obama knows nothing except living off the system and exploiting the work of others.

It's a two-prong attack.
Sarah has the best character and she has the best ideas. She's got my vote; Trump does not. But Trump is serving a very useful purpose, and it is foolish to put him down for the work he is doing right now.

My only pronlem with Trump is that we cannot elect him and swear him in NOW!!!!!!!!!!

And even today is too long to wait!

I spell relief NOW—RIGHT NOW!

Yep, I am sure sure she did, but good luck selling it to NY and CA.

Do you think Obama would have gotten with his destruction without the Senate and Congress backing him?

Y’all put too much emphasis on the Presidency and not enough where the power really lies. It is in the Legislature!!! You want to stop Abortion? You want a Balanced Budget? You want the RKBA? You want the Borders Protected? IT IS THE LEGISLATURE WHERE ALL THIS HAPPENS!!!!!!! The Presidency is an 8yr. term at most, the Legislature can undo anything a President accomplishes. If we want our conservative roots back and a Constitutional form of government is has to be done at the state level, by electing Conservatives there!!! That is where OUR representation is!

For me, the jury is still out on Trump’s genuineness.
However, for now I fully support him because he is the only one out there accurately pinning the tail on the donkey.

My guess is that while he is the most savvy and experienced in the ways of the world, and best equipped to take on the communist machine, he is not yet aware of the full scope of the warfare we are currently in.

He says he’s a christian, and that he is pro-life,
But I really wonder if he sees the dramatic polarization and alignment that exists between politics and faith.
I wonder if he has a firm grasp on where we are from a biblical point of view. If he does, and he is just playing dumb right now, I would say he’s a genius. If he does not see what is going on spiritually here, then that is where he is extremely vulnerable.

I think that as time progresses, and he begins exposing his underbelly to the beast of oppression, he will be drawn closer and closer to greater spiritual reality, or he will be destroyed very quickly.

Tim Pawlenty and Mike Huckabee, and Newt also won’t take the fight against the Rats.

If it's Trump or Obama, there is no question who I vote for, donate to, and work for. PERIOD.

The key line is where the author says that Trump is succeeding because he is saying things on a big-time platform unequivocally. Palin called the birth certificate a "distraction." She's waffled about China. Trump goes after both the BC and China and doesn't mince words.

The path to success is clear: Obama, Obama, Obama. Stop trying to play nice, and above all, STOP CRITICIZING REPUBLICANS. John Boener is not running for president in 2012. This is so clear, and so simple, I'm astounded that so many people who think they want to be president don't get it. The first conservative to copy The Donald in TONE and DIRECTNESS (including on China, oil, and the Birth Certificate) wins.

Sarah had a great speech til she starts whining about Republicans. If she's running for PRESIDENT, she needs to focus on OBAMA, not BOEHNER. (and, FWIW, a few hundred, or even a thousand, for a supposed "star" in the GOP is pretty disappointing).

I don't think Trump is a conservative and you're right, he only hits a few great notes---but the BC is a hugely important "note" for a lot of reasons and Palin PUNTED it. ("a distraction"---and this weekend she very lamely walked that back just a little). That's why I don't think she's running for Pres., because the person running for Pres. is running against Obama, Obama, Obama.

If you put these two on the same ticket Obama would wet his panties! That would be a powerful duo!
