Should Donald Trump and Sarah Palin run as a GOP presidential ticket?

Donald Trump could appeal to economic conservatives, while Sarah Palin has deep roots among social conservatives and tea party types. Put that together, and you might have a winning coalition.

*******

Should Donald Trump and Sarah Palin run together as a shovel-ready Republican presidential ticket?

We bring this up because over the weekend, the ex-governor of Alaska gave the current reality-show star an attaboy for his embrace of “birtherism.” You know, the school of thought that holds that President Obama was not born in the United States and therefore is not eligible for the job he now has, constitutionally speaking.

“I appreciate that ‘The Donald’ wants to spend his resources in getting to the bottom of something that so interests him and many Americans – you know, more power to him,” Ms. Palin said Saturday on Fox News’s “Justice With Judge Jeanine.” “He’s not just throwing stones from the sidelines; he’s digging in there. He’s paying for researchers to find out why President Obama would have spent $2 million to not show his birth certificate.”

For the record, we’ll note that there is lots of evidence that Mr. Obama was born in Hawaii and that birthers tend to wave this aside. But right now, we’re more interested in the Trump-Palin mind-meld that appears to be occurring. Don’t you think their political personas would complement each other? They could be the Cagney and Lacey – or the Starsky and Hutch – of the upcoming GOP primary season....

“I’d like to think Sarah has more integrity than to run with Trump.”

Good grief!!! She ran with that crook and liar McCain. Integrity? She is carrying a lot of baggage around now.

I would hope not. I would not like to face a Palin/RINO ticket and have to decide if I can hold my nose enough to vote for it again.

Trump is #1 in his own empire. Why should he accept a #2 position anywhere else?

Get real.

I like them both personally. Charisma and personality and substance. These two would rock the world of presidential politics. Liberals and MSM would experience a conniption fit only equaled by the Japanese earthquake...those two are FIGHTERS. I'm tired of wimpy politicians. TRUMP and PALIN...Please.

Trump would never accept VP nor should he. Trump Palin ticket would be great. I think Sarah is now qualified to be Veep. She hasn't shown me that she has booked up much since running in 08. I still love her, but she is a little weak in world affairs. Trump for 4 years, Palin in 2016. I would consider this. I doubt Palin could get elected on the top of the ticket.

I'm not sending Trump any cash just yet. Just looking over all the horses.

Said it before and I’ll say it again .. why Sarah Palin would be expected to take the second spot on a Republican ticket two elections running is absolutely beyond me.

She hasn’t suffered at the hands of the socialist media — and whether you like her or not, you have to admit she has genuinely suffered — in order to become the Vice-President.

Well he’s already come out and declared himself to be a dishonest businessman when he bragged about screwing Kadaffi.

The fact is that he was doing business with Kadaffi and the public became outraged and he backed out of the deal. An honest businessman wouldn’t have made a deal with Kadaffi and then wouldn’t have lied to the American people by way of a blowhard lie.

I think I prefer a Cain/West ticket. I also believe that Trump and Cain are or could be very strong for each other.

You missed what the poster said. Go back and read his post.

What else?

The bottom line is I don't trust him and I specifically don't trust him on abortion and healthcare.
