MESQUITE, Texas - A YouTube video of a police officer using pepper spray on a baby squirrel has sparked outrage in the city of Mesquite, Tx.
A student recorded the incident. In the video, the officer is seen spraying the animal after it began chasing students around at Kimbrough Middle School.
Students are heard begging the cop, reffered to as Officer Davis on the video, to stop with cries of "No!" and "Don't spray him!"
Mesquite Police Department has defended the officer's actions.
Sgt. Wes Talley said the officer stood between a group of students and the animal because he thought it may have been rabid.

Again, I politely ask you... are you 14 years old, you surly act like it.
The FBI UCR is the Federal Bureau of Investigations Uniform Crime Report. It was started in 1930 and is a yearly publication where the FBI reports criminal statistics... not employment information.
Awee... lookie here... right from the FBI themselves...
The UCR statistics include only jurisdictional figures for reported crime, clearance, or arrest data gathered from local and state criminal justice systems (i.e., prosecutorial, judicial, correctional, and probational)...
The UCR statistics include other relevant data collected from the Census Bureau and the Bureau of Labor and Statistics where applicable to complete its report model.
Because of concern regarding the proper use of UCR data, the FBI has the following policies: The FBI does not collect, analyze, interpret, or publish crime statistics based solely on a single- dimension interagency ranking. The FBI does not collect, analyze, interpret or publish data collected by other US Government Agencies such as the Census Bureau, the Bureau of Commerce and the Bureau of Labor and Statistics regarding populations, racial data or employment data.

‘you opinion’ should be ‘your opinion’
If an animal isn’t capable of knowing that it’s being taunted (according to you) how could it know it was being pepper sprayed?
“No normal animal walks towards a person like that.”
You’ve never seen tamed animals that are used to being fed by humans, I guess?
bttt
The FBI tracks the employment status of every single law enforcement officer in the nation. I linked you directly to the FBI’s numbers, which as I pointed out for you, account for only FULL TIME employees. In addition to the Full Time Employees there are part-time, reserve and auxiliary sworn positions that are not reflected on the FBI’s data.
What do you think the FBI list is for? They just slapped a bunch of numbers on there for no real reason?
You have a vendetta against the police, because of your petty vendetta, you will lie and spin however you can in furtherance of your agenda. To the point of pretending that FBI data just doesn’t exist.
“Pontificating” uh huh, Johnny Rambo.

Sort of like how would you know I disliked you until I hit you with a ball bat. I think it is the pain thing.
First of all you wouldn’t have the balls to even look me in the eye but you did say animals don’t have the ability to know that they are being taunted.
Ummmm Freedom,,, that page you linked, the numbers.. The one million officers number... You need to re read it again cuz it clearly says right on the page just three volume over that it includes almost 400,000 civilian employees.
The FBI is counting everyone who works for law enforcement, both sworn and non-sworn civilians.
Sorry to call you out in a public forum, but you either can’t add or you can’t read.
Think you have a reading comprehension problem, an if you seem to be on some agenda, I do not think there was one word posted about taunting, the little squirrel which would not be possible, if so where was it, and my statments was a descriptive demonstration to answer to you silly question.
To: UCANSEE2Oh bright one, we were discussing taunting. These animals see people all the time at a distance, you can stand and scream at him for hours and he will not know you are screaming at him. No thought process.

The one who has no thought process is you.
Yeah you better go lock your doors and put on the tin foil, those evil libertines are everywhere spreading moral anarchy and decay. Just because you’re a paranoid loon doesn’t mean they’re not out to get ya.
See ya Pope.
You know ignorance is a terrible thing, but one of the hard and fast rules here that gets people banned is cross threading. Now show me anything about taunting the squirrel are get ready to walk.
People get banned for making threats too even if they think they’ve cutely disguised them, moron.
Wrong idiot ! You have no reading ability above grade school. Now where is the statement made about taunting the little squirrel
Because I followed them, at the same speed they were going. They were too concerned with dodging in and out of traffic. I was able to stay with them in some spots, and others, not so much. The fact they were pulling away from me when I was going the speed limit is also a clue.
how do you KNOW for a fact that they werent going to a mutual aid call the other jurisdiction?
Because when they do, they run code (lights and sirens), and are usually in uniform.
Frankly, you dont know what they were up to, you just assumed... if it happened at all that is.
It happened. You're right, I don't know exactly what they were up to, but I do know they weren't responding to a call. Because if they were, they should have been running code.
Look, I've seen your posts. In your eyes, cops can do no wrong. In my world, the cops are sometimes as bad, if not worse, than the criminals. There are good, but to ignore the bad is, frankly, pathetic.
