Just when you thought all Bolton could talk about was foreign policy, he does a great segment on China’s economy vs our economy and debt.

To sum it up, Bolton really doesn’t agree with Trump that we are getting ripped by China. Of course they are cheating and stealing from us in several ways, but he doesn’t agree that China’s economy will out grow the US economy in 10 to 15 years. In fact he believes that all these tales of China’s super-growing economy could be greatly exaggerated.

He makes a lot of good points to substantiate this.

I don't. Given China's culture and history I don't think a powerful China is going to be a friendly China.

I believe China will be a friendly state.

I personally wouldn't mind a falling-out between Russia and China that resulted in Russia using up it's nuclear arsenal on China.

Why would you wish that? On China or any other country.

While Russia, today, has the upper hand in nuclear arsenal, China, in the long term, will have the upper hand. A falling out potentially can occur between Russia and China, but it'll be driven mainly by the Russians, I'm sure of it. If it does happen, hopefully it will happen far enough into the future when China will be able to provide the deterrent of mutually assured destruction.

You should give it a read and your opinion might become a little chilled.

I've never been one to wrap myself into conspiracy theories. I don't believe countries are so resourceful that they can behave in such a monolithic fashion so as to covertly fool the world of their intentions. It just doesn't happen. Whether it be China or any other country.

But, as long as we're on the subject of books, there is one called "Jesus in Beijing: How Christianity is Changing the Global Balance of Power", written by David Aikman. That is an eye opening book as well. He covers many correlations between the rise of Christianity in China and the rise of China itself.

Sorry to reply so late...but I never said they’re fooling EVERYONE. Neither does the author of the book. It’s just that the people in power in this country DON’T CARE. They’re short-sighted people who won’t see past the end of their political careers, much less past the end of their lives. And others are profiting considerably by it, and have no real loyalty to this country.

The considerable political power being given to China through our trade policies has come back in the form of China buying-out US media, academia, & industry. His book is extremely well-researched. I’ll check out that book you mentioned, you should also give IN THE JAWS OF THE DRAGON a try.
