This is a VERY narrowly divided state, where there is a key Supreme Court election next week. The libs/unions have been throwing everything behind unseating Justice Prosser, who is a solid conservative. If they succeed, it’ll be game over as the Supreme Court will have a liberal majority.
That is what is really in play here, and Gov. Walker and the Republicans in the legislature are smart not to do anything rash that could spike the election. He knows he will win in the end, preferably by having a higher court smack Judge Sumi down but if not in the Senate. But there are other issues at stake right now than just proving manhood.
Good grief. Walker has played a strong hand all along and you accuse him of not having a "set of brass ones" over this one report? He has deftly managed this all along and I have no doubt that he will continue to do so.
Walker is nuts to let a County Judge overide the law passed by both houses of the WI legislature. She has no jurisdiction over the soveriegn state of Wisconsin.
If everyone behaves like Obama and ignores judges rulings we no longer have a country worth keeping.
