Your time frame is a little off. President Reagan is the best president of the last 100 years at least. 70 years takes us back to FDR, the president who thought he knew best for everybody and who was not going to let a little annoyance such as the Constitution get in his way.

Good point. I was thinking of the best president since WWII since that is the era of the modern presidency. But if you want to find a president who was comparable to or better than Reagan you would have to go back to Theodore Roosevelt.
