Businessman and "Apprentice" television star Donald Trump blasted President George Bush today, calling him "probably the worst president in the history of the United States," and blaming his 2004 victory on the Democrat ticket.
Appearing on CNN's "Situation Room," Trump was asked by host Wolfe Blitzer his opinion of Democrat presidential candidate John Edwards.
"I don't know him," Trump answered. "People like him. I know people that like him very much, but I really don't know him."
Trump went on to say that Edward's experience as John Kerry's 2004 running mate was a negative in his estimation.
"Well, I think that's a huge negative, because that was a shame that that race was lost, because look what we have right now," Trump said. "It's a disaster. So, you know, I would probably be inclined not to like him on the basis that he lost an election that should have been won. That election should have been won."
Trump noted that the blame fell on Kerry as well.
"He's a friend of mine. But I'm so upset that he blew it," he said.
"I think Bush is probably the worst president in the history of the United States. And I just don't understand how they could have lost that election."
Asked about Hillary Clinton, Trump praised the former first lady, saying he thought she was ready to be commander-in-chief.

If anyone finds more goods on the Donald, please post it.
...that it might affect Palin's election possibilities? The election is 19 months away....GET A GRIP!
Donald doesn’t want a visit from the I.R.S., plain and simple.
The problem would be if he tries to climb into the Oval Office on this.
Maybe it’s the DEMONRAT primary he’s aiming for, not what peeps be thinking up till now.
If he does become President, I’ve got a slogan already.
“Dump the Trump!!!”

Something just occured to me: Could Trump be the Ross Perot of 2012?
O, yes. How would he try to do that, though? He's not gonna be the democratic nominee, and his chance of winning the repub nomination is almost zero. If he wants to run as a third party candidate, then yes, that would be disastrous.
This thread has you hopping mad!
I didn’t tell Trump to go around doing interviews about how much he loves John Kerry and Hillary Clinton.
Would it have been preferable to just bury the fact that he’s a leftist—to let him go on playing the role of “conservative” with as few people knowing the truth as possible? Is that what you want?
I honestly don’t care what he said 4 years ago.
Right now he’s a useful tool. He has gotten the BC issue into the mainstream/pop culture of America. For that I am thankful.
Someone improperly put the tags “birthcertificate” “certifigate” and “naturalborncitizen” on this article. This article is about the Bush administration.
Yup.
You might have something there.
I’d almost bet on Trump running third party.
I’ve seen a definite spike in troll activity around the “Trump will save us from Obama” theme, during the past few days.
screw him
Now I suspect his recent birther thing is just to smoke out other birthers so they can be made fools of. I guess he's officially working for the DNC this year.
At this point, the way Trump is being portrayed on Fox News and even by Limbaugh is very different from the way Trump really is.
2012 voters need to know the truth.
