Great post and necessary rebuttal to Leo's nasty and inappropriate words.

Thank you, Jim.

Respectfully disagree.

Obama will be the president we all desperately want to forget, but will be unable to because of the swath of death and destruction he's leaving in his path.

I had always wished she could have been a little bit more right and a Republican.

Sometimes, in her heart, I think she was.

“Perhaps you are unaware that Mondale did not win MN. Only the graciousness of Reagan by conceding there, was Fritz saved the ignominious loss of his home state.”

You’re right: I’m not aware of this, as according to official compilations, Mondale won MN by 3761 votes: http://clerk.house.gov/member_info/electionInfo/1984election.pdf

What do you know about these results that I don’t?

She also had a sense of humor and some grace about her, unlike most rat females. She had a little class, a rarity among rats.

May she rest in peace, and may God bring comfort to her family.

She was a principled liberal, and I respected her even though I did not agree with her. In fact, I liked her a lot more than that pathetic fool who was her running mate in 1984.

Now this is a bit of a shocker. I did not realize she had been so ill, and she certainly earned her place in American political history.

I’ve seen her innumerable times on TV and although I did not agree with her politically, she always impressed me with her charm, smile, and ability to carry on a good conversation. I know she’ll be missed.

Prayers for her and her family.

Wow, she met a lot of FReepers...including me — she was cordial, attentive, and I didn’t dislike her, and I’m sad to hear of her passing. RIP

I think she is going to need those prayers as she was on the wrong side of history and freedom. Democratic thiefdom party is where she was! For baby killing and theft of people’s wealth to distribute it and gain votes all the while being deceived into believing she was helping people, by the dark master of this world. I hope she repented before she left this earth.
