President Obama plans to call members of Congress on Friday to update them on “what we’ve accomplished” in Libya, the White House announced.
The call is part of Obama’s “consultations with Congress,” White House press secretary Jay Carney told reporters on Friday. Legislators of both parties have been critical of Obama for not going to Congress before deciding to attack Libya.
“He will update them on the situation in Libya, what we've accomplished thus far,” Carney said. “And he will update them on the transition of command control to NATO.”

He’s going to call them today? Aren’t they on vacation until Monday? Guess he doesn’t want to meet them face to face. Note that he doesn’t go on TV much lately? He doesn’t want to face the people either.
