So, if we help this guy, it’s going to be just like with Fidel Castro, Afghanistan, and a whole lot of other cases of the last 60 years. There’s not going to be any “win” for the U.S., regardless how this thing turns out, but it WILL cost and cost again.

I fear we have now “broken” Libya, even though it seems to be the Brits and the Frogs that are having most of the fun, attacking the government forces, “cowboy style”. Nevertheless, as with “joint and several liability”, the one with the deepest pockets gets screwed, and we’re still viewed as that, although now it means not the most money but the highest credick limit.
It is just like Obastard to support an active US hater over a passive one.
