Iraq vs. Libya: Exposing Left Wing Hypocrisy
Big Peace ^ | March 24, 2011 | Andrew Breitbart

n the rush to act in Libya, some liberals have conveniently forgotten many of the arguments they made opposing American intervention in Iraq. Whether one agrees with the President’s current course of action, the left’s old arguments against intervention in Iraq are applicable to the present Libyan conflict. Here are a few examples:

It's pretty ironic that Qadaffi is less of an international criminal. If you read the link, stats also show the only way Libya compares to Iraq is in terms of oil production. Also incredible is the fact that Libya should be clean by UN standards, yet the UN approves of going after them. IMO, the Libya operations are simply an extension of our president acting stuck up with European interests, as honestly all of the liberal arguments against a Middle East war actually apply here.

The hoax of the left caring about the environment, wars, womens’ and civil rights, etc., has been debunked; it’s all about political power and absolutely nothing else. Only the ‘useful idiots’ still cling to those causes.

The hoax of the left caring

I have no agreement that most of us have little lack of knowing about how much about any politician without his/her feet to the fire will actually care about any issue, that’s how Democracy works. The only point here is that there is little fact to actually argue that what we are doing in Libya is better than what we did in Iraq. Qadaffi has not violated international agreements like Saddam did, he let us know that his country has WMDs, has not shown a willingness to use them, and so on. There’s about no real reason why we should be against him. Not even Obama makes the objectives clear, whereas Bush said that we simply needed to remove Saddam and replace his government with something more Democratic.
