Obama Administration Calls On United Nations To Support Gay Rights 'Human rights are the inalienable right of every person, no matter who they are or who they love,' Ambassador Eileen Chamberlain Donahoe says. The move is the latest by Obama in support of gay rights.

Julie Mianecki, Washington Bureau March 23, 2011

Reporting from Washington— The Obama administration Tuesday called on the U.N. Human Rights Council to fight discrimination against gays and lesbians around the world.

"Human rights are the inalienable right of every person, no matter who they are or who they love," Eileen Chamberlain Donahoe, U.S. ambassador to the council in Geneva, said in a statement. "The U.S. government is firmly committed to supporting the right of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender individuals to lead productive and dignified lives, free from fear and violence."

The council has condemned human rights violations based on sexual orientation or gender identity, including rape, torture and murder.

"It is a really pressing issue globally that there continue to be killings on the basis of sexual orientation and persecution on that basis," said Suzanne Nossel, deputy assistant secretary of State for international organization affairs. "I think this will stimulate dialogue and increase recognition of the importance of the issue among governments."

Good to know that with the Middle East blowing up and the reactor melting down in Japan, the Obama has the time for the important things.

It’s indicative ... pause to think about that ... that homosexuality is always at the forefront of his mind.

Obama can start in Libya. Those Muslims will really appreciate his progressive views on homosexual rights. That and those openly homosexual troops ala DADT repeal.

And this guy calls himself a “Christian?????” He supports the murder of the unborn in the womb and he supports homosexual marriage, yada yada yada. All the time, my Bible calls homosexuality an “abomination.” Not sure what his Kurr-ran calls it thought I know the muzzies kill homos. So which ever “religion” he calls himself, neither support HIS view of it.

Since obama loves to have other countries take the lead, he should entreat the islamist countries to take the initiative on this gay “rights” issue.

It is bad enough that liberals have shoved the gay agenda down the throats of Americans. America is now exporting gay rights to conservative and traditional societies around the world.

This will make America even more hated. If the most liberal states in America (California, Hawaii, etc.) have rejected gay rights, when the voters have been given an opportunity to vote in ballot initiatives, then why should the traditional third world societies embrace gay rights?

Rachel Maddow of MSNBC, indicated that foreign aid should be used to force the gay agenda on third world people. We really are living in the last days.

Hmmmmmmm. Somehow that doesn't have quite the same ring to it, does it?

Obama wants the U.S. to become like Sodom and Gomora in the old testament. Probably a pillar of fire will not destroy us but this country will pay it dues because of this man.

I’m confused. Is sodomy mentioned in the Declaration of Independence?

No, but Christianity is and he does nothing to support it.

He should have approached the UN for rights for Christians and Jews but we all know how the OIC’s UN would respond!

IMHO this is completely beyond his jurisdiction. I want to share some thoughts from history with everyone.

A quarter of a century before the night ride of Paul Revere,
Jonathan Mayhew preached in Boston:

“It us blasphemy to call tyrants and oppressors God’s ministers... When (magistrates) rob and ruin the public, instead of being guardians of its peace and welfare, they immediately cease to be the ordinance and ministers of God. And no more deserve that glorious character than common pirates and highwaymen”.

Fifteen years later his response to the Stamp Act was:

“The king is as much bound by his oath to infringe the legal rights of the people as the people are bound to yield objection to him. From whence it follows that as soon as the prince sets himself up above the law, he loses the king in the tyrant. He does, to all intents and purposes, un-king himself by acting out of and beyond that sphere which the constitution allows him to move in, and in such cases he has no more right to be obeyed than any inferior officer who acts beyond his commission. The subject’s obligation to allegiance then ceases of course, and to resist him is no more rebellion than to resist any foreign invader...ii is making use of the means, and the only means, which God has put into their power for mutual and self -defense.”

Of course, when the Revolutionary War took place, and we were freed from the despotic English rule. Does the above ring a bell to you?

What is it going to take to rid ourselves of who is now leading America into destruction? As long as we were faithful to God He blessed this country. Without him there can be no America. Where are His Christian soldiers today?
