I feel roughly the same way plus I like and respect the Iranians I have met but the Arabs....are another story. The Iranians can be very smart and invented chess after getting it from the Hindus

well, not only because they have fewer resources. That is a main reason yes -- the Sauds have created the Taliban and most of the Islamic terrorists with their funding of madrassas preaching Wahabbism and their funding of terrror groups.
But also the Shia's have the history of syncretism, accomodating other aspects/cultures. In the long-term this is dangerous as the Ahmaddiyyas show, but in the short and medium term, the Wahabbis are a virulent strain that must be eradicated.
