The call by the Arab League for Western military intervention in an Arab state in this case asking that a UN no-fly zone be imposed over Libya is not only without precedent but it puts in formal terms what Governor Palin stated three weeks ago should have been Americas response to the political and humanitarian crisis now unfolding there.
The former GOP vice presidential candidate was being interviewed on February 23rd on national television by Sean Hannity on a range of issues. On the Libya crisis, she proposed a no-fly-zone to protect the armed and un-armed opposition to the Qaddafi regime. Mrs. Palins formulation had been blogged about for nearly a week when it was echoed by the man who, before the Iraq war, had led the Iraq democratic movement in exile, Ahmed Chalabi.

Well yeah sure, but what does her March Madness bracket look like?
There were separate specific congressional resolutions authorizing the use of force in kosovo, afghanistan, and Iraq. The only actions taken not specifically authorized were Granada and the Dominican Republic 1965, where the actions were justified on grounds of defending US citizens.
But Palin doesn’t have any international or foreign policy experience./s
She knows how to move the ball down the court. Forget the brackets thats chair arm stuff.
After all, is Sarah not a clueless, airhead, bimbo; a real, "Caribou Barbie," thus how could she even have an original or cogent thought in that bubble head of hers?
Okay, all of you Freepers who suffer from PDS and continue to advance the beyond ludicrous theory that she is "unelectable," come out, come out, from wherever you are hiding and have at it.
My answer to Rush who seems perplexed over the most hated, denigrated and impugned public figure in my lifetime (67 years) is that with the incessant, non-stop, vitriolic attacks by the State-Run, Lame Stream media; coupled with piling on with the inside-the-beltway, pseudo-inte1lectual RINO Ruling Class (due to the jealousy for females and insecurity for males) my only surprise is that Palin's favor-ables are even as high as they are.
I haven't decided whether she should run or not, but as far as her "bona fides" and "qualifications" they are AT LEAST as varied and extensive (I'd argue, more) than were that of the phony, narcissistic, community agitator, who we knew (and still know) 0 about him, other than his ability to give a good speech, providing he had his trusty teleprompter to read from.
Regardless, Sarah will be a force to reckon with a I'm betting that if she does not seek the presidency, most other candidates will be seeking her support and endorsement.
Not only that, but she's so dumb that she couldn't "pour p*ss out of a boot with the instructions printed on the sole".
That's a thought. We know that she played basketball in high school. And unlike "Stoner Barry," she actually had game.
Yes, I have to agree with the sentiment of: If Sarah Palin is so unelectable and such a bimbo, why does she always seem to be on the leading edge of the major issues of the day?
And a mere Twitter or Facebook posting can drive changes to Obamacare (remember "Death Panels?").
...and same poll had Sheen over Mullah Obama by similar margin.
NeoCon Randy Scheunemann has been Palin's foreign policy advisor since McCain assigned him the job of getting Palin up to speed on foreign policy.
The NeoCons originally perceived Palin to be the empty vessel from Alaska and if they could get her into the presidency, Palin would put them in charge of US foreign policy.
But since Palin went rogue on the NeoCons by endorsing O'Donnell for senate, the NeoCons have been gradually abandoning her.
I guess Palin agreeing with the UN is nothing new...she supported the LOST treaty.
There is no need for the US to be in Libya. Whichever side you help...they are Islamic Terrorist. Palin just acting like another Liberal Globalist.
Better to defend America’s borders than someone else’s. Time for politicians to start being American and stop being Liberal Globalist
You're right about LOST, but your comment that Palin agrees with the UN on Libya is a twist in logic.
Where to begin.
1.) Palin wanted a no-fly zone three weeks ago. The UN passed the no-fly zone three weeks too late, to cover their rear ends, when it no longer matters.
2.) Palin wanted a no-fly zone regardless of what the UN wanted.
3.) If anything one could say that you agree with Chinese and the Russians on this, because they did not vote for the no-fly.
There is no need for the US to be in Libya. Whichever side you help...they are Islamic Terrorist.
We know Gadaffi is a terrorist who killed Americans. The US certainly has an interest to remove Gadaffi.
Can you document any terrorists on the other side?
