The train broke down on the way to the ceremony. The CEO of Amtrak had to jump out of the train and into a car to get to the ceremony on time.
I rode trains for years. Last foray into Amtrak yeilded similar issues as described in the article below. Amtrak sucks. So when we get high speed rail, it will suck, only faster.
I would rather fly & deal with the TSA than take Amtrak.
