However, would you mind telling me why we should get involved in Libya? What our national interests are, who the rebels are, why this was different than Egypt, etc. You know, the details of why America should become involved in shooting down Libyan planes and bombing Libyan airports and all that.
...anything you could do to shed light on that would be appreciated. Also, why rallying around the president is a good thing. That too. What are his goals? What leadership has he shown? I’m curious about that too.
qadaffy is either going to stop blustering (shut his yap) and wrap this up quickly (remembering that possession is 9/10ths of the law), then get creative about making most of his countrymen happy, or we’ll have some drawn out mess with a back-and-forth trying to meddle between bad-guy qadaffy and all the other bad guys that want to be the chief Libyan bad guy.
This is what happens when communists win elections by controlling colleges and unions.

Fully concur with non-intervention in Libya. What is our national interest in Libya. Both side hate us. Let the French deal with Libya - it used to be their province. I would rather use our forces (speaking as ex Navy) to clean out the pirate scum in Somalia.
There is only ONE reason this passed the UN. The Arab League wanted it.
That tells me all I need to know.
This really irks the hell out of me.
