Do you deny the need for change in the present system?
Tort reform, insurance sales nationally across state lines?
There is going to be a plan B. The only question is what
Congress has legitimate constitutional authority to regulate what is truly interstate commerce. Nowhere in the Constitution is authority granted to control intrastate commerce, a category health care would fall under in any sane analysis.
That’s the difference.
And I have zero confidence in the Republicans to understand that critically important difference. Many of them have no problem with acting unconstitutionally and really believe they can do socialism better than the Democrats. RomneyCare would be a good example of what I’m talking about, or GW Bush’s Medicare Part D.
