He’s not a bozo and I think he knows quite a lot about this situation. That was a very bad sign when the Japanese had to pull a lot of workers out of the plants and suspend efforts to cool the reactors because the radiation levels were so high. I think the Japanese government is understating the severity of this situation because they’re trying to keep their population calm. Note that European companies have been pulling employees out of Japan over the last 48 hours.
This power plant should never have been built so close to the coast, considering the threat from a massive earthquake and Tsunami. Somebody made a disastrous decision about 40 years ago.

How sad, that the plants have stood up to one of the worst ‘quakes, and no one has anything good to say about it. Just nitpicks.
