A Major Earthquake in North America Imminent?
FoxBusinessNews ^ | 3/14/11 | Neil Cavuto

Posted on 03/15/2011 11:30:01 PM PDT by Kartographer

JIM BERKLAND, GEOLOGIST: The month of October, March, and April are the three most devastating earthquakes in terms of damage in the San Francisco Bay Area in history. And we are having on the 19th of this month not only the full moon, but within an hour the closest approach of the moon to the earth until the year 2016. The next day is the equinoctial tides. So you're bringing together three of the maximum tide raising forces. We know about the ocean tides. But there is also an Earth tide. And there is a tide in the ground water. All of these help to release sudden, built up strain, and cause earthquakes.

CAVUTO: But that would seem to imply that we could be looking at a very imminent event in the United States within the next week or two? Is that right?

BERKLAND: Yes. My -- what I call a seismic window, this top seismic window in years is developing between the 19th and 26th of this month. And this was 7.0 monster and it says geologist had warned about it. And a week earlier, the they were talking about the tides, not to worry about the really tides coming up. I think there is worry here too.

There is a member of our paranormal experiences group who predicted the major March earthquake in the beginning of February. On March 1st she again made the prediction and said it will be far worse than most earthquakes. At that time she specifically said it would be on March 11th. I was there and heard her statements both times.

Although it was March 10th here in the USA, in Japan it was March 11th when the quake hit.

10,000 out of every 2 disasters are predicted by someone somewhere. If only we could find these ones who are correct in advance, we’d be in business.

Hell, the Rapture has been predicted a few thousand times in the last 2000 years. If only we can find the one person who will get it right, and we can all be prepared! LOL!

If it happens imminently, then yes. If it doesn’t, then no.

I’m 100% correct in the above statement. :-)

I would help you out on the survey here bub, but frankly I’d say my family would skew the results. We’re, well, a little sensitive, so to speak, to this type of thing. I’d say that most of my family, including my aunts, uncles and most cousins, are in the 6.5 to 7.5 range normally but lately there’s been a serious ramping up of awareness.

Now, when I say a serious ramping up of awareness, I don’t mean that they’re having visions or dreams or anything like that, but I do mean that the entire family has been having the Holy Spirit stir them up, preparing them to leave. The general message has been “you don’t have time to dither any longer, make sure everything is in preperation and ready.”

Furthermore, several of my younger cousins, some as young as five and six, have been telling, not asking but telling, their parents that they need to be saved and wanting to know what they need to do to make it happen.

Now, I’ll grant you that these children are being raised in Christian families, but two in particular have reported being told by Christ Himself that they needed to be saved if they were going to make it to Heaven to see Him and that there wasn’t time to wait. Both reported, almost word for word from what I was told, that Christ was stressing to them the importance of immediate action and not to delay.

Several of the elders of the Church, men and women who have been Christians for 40 years or more, have said that they’ve never seen the Spirit move with a sense of urgency like this among the children before.

One in particular, who just celebrated the 40th anniversary of his salvation this last Sunday and who’s been involved in the Youth Program since the mid 70’s, reported that it’s obvious that the Holy Spirit is moving with great urgency among the children of the Church because of the sheer numbers of kids coming to salvation and the determination to attain it that they’re showing.

One other point that I’d like to make is that this isn’t an emotional responce to a preacher or a particular sermon, because most of these kids have startled their parents with these requests during the middle of the week when they weren’t in church. I cannot stress enough the level of sheer determination that is showing up in these kids, especially since most are under the age of 10.

Also, these kids aren’t coming to their parents with this information in packs like you’d see if it was an emotional or peer-generated response, but they’re coming in ones and twos. In the last 30 to 60 days,

I’d say that I’ve heard of close to a half-dozen kids coming to Christ for salvation in my family’s church alone, which may have 40 or 50 families that attend at the most. Other churches in the area with which we keep in contact with are reporting the same thing though, so it’s not just one church going through a revival.

Speaking of revival, I’d also like to point out that the current revival that has broken out isn’t like before where the churches would pray for a revival to sweep through and then tried to generate it. This has been completely God generated, with several preachers and pastors stating that they’ve been led by the Spirit, often just moments before delivering a message, to change the topic and preach on the immediate and urgent need for salvation and a return to Christ for those who are back-slidden.

It’s often a coordinated effort on the Spirit’s part, as I’ve seen Sunday School teachers forced by the Spirit to change their lesson plans at the last second and then later hear the preacher, who wasn’t in the Sunday School class and didn’t know of the changes to the lesson plan, do the exact same thing in the pulpit just moments later. I personally saw this happen this weekend and was privilaged to sit under one of the most powerful messages that I’ve ever heard preached, bar none. The message was simple; Jesus Christ can change your life and save your soul from hell, but only if you trust Him and you don’t have time to wait any longer. It was, literally, repent or perish.

If I had to quantify the awareness now, I’d say that the average adult is around the 8.5 - 9.0 range now, but the children are completely off the scale and in a league of their own now. A large part of the reason that the adults are so aware though is because of how adamant and stirred up the children have become.

I’m not trying to diminish the changes in the preaching, because it’s some of the most powerful stuff I’ve ever sat under, but I can’t even begin to describe what is going on with the kids. It’s beyond anything I’ve ever seen before.

“The water is only higher because part of the gravitational pull is being nullified.”

Uhhh, if lessened gravity affects water wouldn't it also apply to land? If it applies to land then gravitational pressures would be lessend on the tectonic plates allowing the potential release of latent tension (energy) in faults. To put it simply the lessend gravity is no longer capable of holding the plates in place against the built up latent energy of the moving plates so the plates release this energy at the fault lines.

Count me as a believer in the increased probability of earthquakes during astronomical alignments.

Yea I addressed that. It would be worth looking into, which is why the correlation has been studied ad nauseum without anything being found at all.

The quake that ought to be scaring the bajeebers outta everyone is the next New Madrid quake.

The New Madrid fault seems to be the darling of the "God is going to punish America" crowd, so I have been reading up what is out there. From the scientific side, there are no indicators that the New Madrid is expected to do anything in our lifetime. From the "Sky is Falling" side, they dwell on the history of the site, perseverate on the destruction then and the hypothetical "worse case scenario" now and then make the giant non sequitor leap that "we are due" based not even on a gambler's hunch, more of a perverted "watch it burn" sort of hope.

Because there are government sponsored studies on the havoc of a hypothetical event, this is seen as proof that the government is hiding something from us and thus we should be anxious and lose sleep over it. The government does studies on everything, its the lifeblood of universities and government grifters for generations, so government "war gaming" to me isn't proof.

Given that, on what do you base your prognostication?

When our dog wants food, he will come into the kitchen and start dancing. He jumps up, moves his head to indicate where the food is kept and moves around in a tight little quarter circle, prancing and shifting his weight while doing the head moves. He doesn’t bark, just dances. If we still don’t *get it*, he goes to his food bowl and proceeds to lovingly lick every inch of it, pausing every once in a while to glance at us to see if we understand.

His barks are distinctive for different situations, too. We can distinguish “Toilet water drink” from “out”, “someone is here” and “those coyotes are in the yard”.

If one of us makes an involuntary sound in response to pain or discomfort, he is right there to comfort. If we try to make that sound just to get him to respond, he ignores us.

My husband is on an irregular schedule for work, but every evening, exactly 15 minutes before he arrives home, Bo will demand to be let out and will sit on the deck waiting. If I call my husband, he is always 15 minutes out. I do not believe the dog can hear and distinguish our car 24 miles away in hilly country, but somehow, he knows.

Impending storms send him under the porch and he will not come out. If he is inside, he finds the darkest corner way before there is any thunder or lightening and refuses to move. That I understand, as I think he senses atmospheric pressure. Does that change before an earthquake or tsunami? That could explain the animals’ proactive response.

I saw the guy and heard his words. Rush claims to be a harmless fuzz ball. That describes this guy. Except, he appeared to know about that which he spoke.

He spoke if indicators beyond the black box missed by those who don’t look. He seemed very rational and believable.

I know someone that “predicted” the Challenger shuttle disaster...she said it would crash every time it went up.

Perhaps true enough.

Are you familiar with the issue of how morse code was able to get through all manner of interference in WWII when nothiing else could?

It could take a real experienced Radioman in some cases but it worked.

The signal to noise ration was ALMOST impossible.

WHEN complexity reaches a high level . . .

WHEN confusing & contradictory inputs, sources, puzzle pieces, REALITIES reach a certain level of complexity

filtering out msg from noise is a major challenge with extreme subtleties often carrying enormous weight.

I’m good about subtleties but not a miracle worker.

I prefer to throw the info out and let folks pray about it and get the mind of God on it themselves.

THERE ARE A LOT OF FREEPERS who seem to be extremely intolerant of anything but construing

“REALITY”

in their own tidy little boxed fantasies about “REALITY.”

They seem to be threatened and rabidly hostile with a mean-spirited vengeance toward anyone who dares to

even HINT

that their pseudo-pretend-tidy little boxed “reality” might not be so accurate or so real after all.

At some point . . . tough tacos.

Time will tell who was right and who was wrong and by how much.

Interesting what you say about the kids. We had a baptism at church last week, and it was more than half kids- maybe 12-15 kids, in contrast to 5 adults. Their testimonies were especially beautiful. One little girl, when asked why she wanted to be baptised, said, “ I want to walk in the light of Christ”. She was 9.
