This kills nuclear energy in this country for the forseeable future. No amount of reasoned arguments will overcome this and any politician who tries will be committing career suicide. I doubt even Rush’s intellectual power. will be able to turn the tide.

The coal industry will be the winner in this case. You simply can't build windfarms and solar installations fast enough to make up for the nuclear power plants that will be shut down.

Another winner will be the oil companies...because you need a lot of oil to mine coal and to build windfarms and solar installations.
