I dont see anything about a new fire.
Right so it’s Daiichi(plant 1) reactor building 4
Just started but NHK had their brief media conference on it a minute ago.
Same time yesterday and the day before and the day before. Fire here, explosion there, meltdown everywhere. I pray that Japan gets a handle on this soon. Our media is in PANIC MODE. I dont know if they can take much more if this.
Teh roof on # 4 was damaged March 15,2011 at 6:00 AM their time; http://www.tepco.co.jp/en/press/corp-com/release/11031504-e.html
As of this post it is March 16 7:17 AM their time, a whole day later.
No kidding. Do you sometimes get the feeling they actually hope for the worst?
Who is NHK?
Tokyo Electric updates their press link every hour.
The roof of the reactor is what they are talking about not the roof of the housing.
Ichi = one in Japanese
Dude u really have to move back from TEPCO.
Get ur info from these sources.
NHK....japan news radio.
WNN....World Nuclear News
or
NEI....Nuclear Energy international.
TEPCO has been very unreliable on two fronts...timely and accuracy.
The reactor itself doesn’t have a “roof”, it’s got a containment vessel.
I think I’ll wait a month or so before I form solid conclusions about what is happening.
The media is confused. They are mixing housing with the building that houses the reactor v. the reactor vessel itself.
